Customer Testimonials
My son has thoroughly enjoyed the basketball program with i9. The coach is great. He has excellent patience for a group of 20, 5 and 6 year old boys and makes sure they all feel included and have fun. We love the concept of 30 minutes of learning and 30 minutes of game time. The hour is just enough time to hold their attention. We tried baseball last year and enjoyed that as well. My son wants to try soccer next.
The coaches are good, the training is professional
The coaches are so amazing with the children and make sure everyone is treated fairly and having fun! We enjoy every game and can’t wait to continue to be a part of it all!
It’s organized, and I like there is staff available if parent volunteers are not. Everyone is so positive and supportive!! And they share an enthusiasm for the game. This is my child’s first experience, and he loves it! It’s the first sport he truly wants to go to. He’s learning plays, teamwork and not to worry. It’s a wonderful experience and I highly recommend!
It's always a great time being at the games and all of the coaches are awesome with the kids.
Wonderful program. Dedicated coaches. Highly recommend!
The coaches did a great job with this age group- full of energy and patience! My daughter learned a lot in a short time, we had fun watching games and practices, and she’s been wearing her medal nonstop since she got it! Thanks for a great experience, we’ll definitely sign up for another i9 program!
Excellent staff. The programs are well organized. The communication to parents is excellent.
Keeps the kids very entertained,
We have enjoyed this summer season! It’s our first time with i9 and I am absolutely delighted to see the results my son has had since starting teeball this past spring with a (different) tenured, well known program in the area. Coach Tim is so hands on, directive, and helpful. My son has definitely made huge improvements!
The officials doing a great job to keep the kids fun and enjoyable while learning the fundamentals of sports
I love the organization of how the programs are set up
It's a good starter program. Very easy going for new players. The weekly medals were very encouraging. Coaches were great.
My son had a blast at the Nike summer camp. I like that he was exposed to many different sports throughout the week. I like that he was active all week and spending time outdoors.
Your program teaches basics and fundamentals of each sports even for players who never played before. Prepares them if they want to be more competitive, but relaxed enough to just be a fun recreational league for those who just want to play for fun and fitness. Great coaches like Kyree make it fun and educational.
This was my first time coaching at the Howard i9 League, and I thought it was well run.
One criticism that I had, which I know was shared by the parents, was how the other coach managed his team. During the first three games, he gave roughly 75% of the carries on offense to his best player. After that point, he only had three kids show up for the remainder of the year, which I assume had a lot to do with the other kids not being involved on offense, and forced us to play 3v3 - severely limiting what we were able to run offensively. For those final three games, he doubled down and gave the same kid 100% of the carries.
I want to bring this to the league's attention because I'm about to coach my fifth season with i9 this Fall, and I support and encourage the kids I coach to sign up to play in subsequent seasons. So, I want to see i9 continue to grow and succeed. And not including kids in the action is behavior that'll definitely harm retention rates, and lead to bad experiences for the kids and parents involved.
Outside of that, our team as a whole had a very positive experience this Summer. I was happy and our parents seemed pleased with how the season went.

Great values, great refs.
loved the coaches, they really did well capturing the attention of the little kids keeping them engaged. the group size was also great, the coaches became friends with the kids very fast and my son cant wait to go back for another season.
My daughter really enjoyed the volleyball camp and the coaches. I have been looking for girls volleyball for the fall that is not travel and I am having a hard time. Does i9 have this? I haven't found it.
Very family oriented.
The staff was excellent! I enjoyed the exercises and the game at the end, all of which were well managed.
Low financial cost, easy registration, convenient communication, the onfield staff is great.
Good focus on sportsmanship over winning. Skill focused.
Coaches were great
Fun and easy way to get kids into a sport and give them an opportunity to see if it's something they enjoy.
Location and coach
The counselors are great.
I love the atmosphere. The focus on the positive and allowing kids to get used to playing in a stress free environment. I also have been incredibly impressed with the refs this season. We struggled with consistency last season and they have been nothing short of amazing this season. Will absolutely recommend i9!
Every child gets an opportunity to play and Coach Michael is awesome with the kids! My son really took to him from the very first day!

Non competitive league... It's good to learn a new sport or just have fun
