I generally go to Jorgensen on weekday mornings. I enjoy all of the regulars and talking as well as getting a good workout in. Allen at the front desk always greets me and is very pleasant to speak with.
They have several different exercise areas with equipment that members can use. They have the egym experience for a quick 20 minute workout that works all muscle groups. There a multiple group classes to participant in such as body building, yoga, barre, dance, etc. Indorr and outdoor pools for members and their families. Outside pickball courts and a track for citizins to use. Plus the staff is very helpful and friendly.

need more and updated leg weight machines.
get frustrated when other members are sitting on machines while on their phones. many times they spend more time on their phone than actually using machine.
frequently I have used 3 other leg machines while one person spent the entire time at one machine on their phone the entire time.

The environment is very friendly, and the YMCA Staff is very helpful.

I really enjoy the exercise classes with Cindy. She makes everyone feel welcome and a part of the group. I like the variety she continues to provide so we never do exactly the same thing to get sick of it. I trust her to teach me the appropriate level and type of exercise I need to do at my age. I never feel like she pushes us too much, but I always feel challenged. Her classes have definitely changed my life for the better over the last year and a half. If she ever retires it will be difficult to find anyone as motivational as she is.
At the Jorgensen Y you feel such a sense of community from the staff, which permeates all around right into the members. It is such an important part of the southwest side of Fort Wayne; a true hive of kindness, wellness, and belonging.

We never thought we would enjoy a chair yoga class. We tried it and loved it. Jane is an excellent teacher. Wish you could replicate her teaching for other classes.

I appreciate my membership at the Jorgensen Family YMCA because it is a bright, clean, and spacious environment to exercise. There is a variety of equipment and opportunities for exercising. I can easily change up my routine or add increased levels of conditioning.
