Great facilities for a central location. Pool is decent, plenty of machines, and the track works as it should. Friendly and helpful staff.
Central is the best branch. Period. My favorite thing is the people who work there - especially those who work early in the morning, when I go. They are friendly and helpful to all who come through the door. I love it here.
The Central Branch Y is such a special place. There is a community of people who attend group classed who make it very special. It is an absolutely ideal location. If the Central Branch Y were gone, I don't think I would maintain my Y membership.

It's a place you can get away call it your own, different exercises and swimming and you can do volleyball and other things with your friends. Or just ride a bike and watch TV from different channels.
I like the swimming pool
Plenty of facilities and equipment. I joined mainly for swimming.
The water, shower room and locker rooms have been cold at times.
All and all the staff is nice and courteous

I really like the people at the Downtown YMCA. They are so friendly and helpful. And Kate Black is a wonderful teacher for the aqua classes. She is always telling us ways to modify things when we have body parts that aren't working the way they used to do. I'm also grateful that they are making space for unhoused people to use showers there. It shows that they are living their values.

Convenient location, TNT class, friendliness of patrons and staff. Clean. I like the atmosphere vs suburban locations. They seem too crowed. This is just right!
