Different facilities offer a wider range of options. Some pools are more heated than others. I think the swimming pool is the best feature, and is not available through many other exercise facilities.

The morning front desk and pool staff (lifeguards) are very friendly and the facility is in great shape.
Perfect place
Each room has lots of equipment. The weight lifting room offers great space, lots of machines, and has plenty of bottles to spray and keep equipment clean. Members could do better to rerack weights, but they Y has great signage encouraging this process. Upstairs there are numerous treadmills of different types, plus each-to-use machines and some dedicated floor work space. The front desk staff are very helpful with any questions I ask, and the overall environment feels very inclusive and welcoming!
It is a welcoming place! Staff that work the desk greet you as you enter. Restroom is clean. EGym machines give a personalized workout.

Central Y is always special to me. Staff is friendly and the location is perfect as I work downtown. The facility needs renovated. I know there was a campaign a few years ago that lost steam with leadership transition, but it really needs to be revived. I hope Central has a role in any new strategic plan.
