I have been a member of the Alexander Y for years and years. I've visited other gyms and other YMCAs (like in Charlotte), and as Tony says, we have the BEST YMCA! Staff is friendly, gym is super clean, even when crowded it's still not too crowded. I love it. And it wouldn't be the same without Tony in the mornings.

I love the variety of classes that are offered, the convenient class times and the friendly, helpful staff.
The Thrive series of classes combined with gentle yoga has lowered my blood pressure over 30 points in the past 15 months. It's a significant factor in staying active as I age.
I love how this facility is laid out. I have been to most of the YMCA's in the area and I like this one by far the best. They have all the weight machines I want to use, and even though they are spread across two rooms, it just works.
Everything is clean and the lobby is a comfortable place to read or work before I get my child from the daycare. I see how the staff interact, and everyone seems genuinely happy. I see how the managers talk to the staff, and vice versa, and the whole atmosphere is comfortable and light. People are friendly at this Y and that's a huge reason why I like coming here.
I haven’t used my membership nearly enough yet but every time I come in I am impressed by the energy/vibe. Classes and Customer service are always great!
