Staff and facilities are all top notch. Our family goes to other locations and this is everyone's favorite.

I really enjoy the atmosphere at the Alexander YMCA. It is friendly, diverse, clean, and I enjoy the many different activities that are available.
Love the Y and have been coming consistently for more than a decade.
Locker rooms could use a little TLC. Just getting a little old and dingy. Steam room and sauna are often out of commission.
Also would be great to see a cold plunge added at some point.

I also use Poyner (I have an office downtown so that is convenient) and Kraft (We live in Cary so sometimes it is not convenient to drive back to Alexander) but Alexander is my "home" YMCA. I have been going since 2015 or so and I love it. The facility is great (keep the steam room going! :) ) the staff is great-it just feels comfortable to me. Also, the lobby area rocks, because you can sit and get a little work done before or after a workout.
Poyner and Kraft are great too, Alexander is more like an old friend.

Is anybody working on getting the A/C straightened out? Ever since you replaced the roof top units the room with the treadmills, ellipticals and other cardio machines has been warmer than it used to be.
Also it seems that you are as busy as you were before Covid, at least at the time I come, 6-8 PM, so how about opening the downstairs desk back up so the people parking across the street don't have to walk around. Don't mind walking but it is getting cold.
Nice facility. Great yoga classes.

Overall I really appreciate the Alexander Y experience. the staff is awesome, Michael at the front desk, Pearl and Tony upstairs embody the Y vibe.
The facilities overall are great, really nice equipment and the upstairs is very clean, thanks to Tony and others.
