Everything! From the check-in friendly people to all the instructors, to the 45 minute classes to the women who fold the towels and play upbeat music! Best one in the triangle! And I go to 5 different YMCAs....
Well, the gym is always clean, the staff most of them are very nice and friendly, all the equipment is working, all the brand new treadmills are really nice as well, and the patrons who go there are also friendly so all in all a nice place good place to work out good classes and 5 stars!
I love the classes and the ability to chose from a lot of class options and also to go to more than one Y location.

The Handball Group has played at the Y for over 50 years and some of us still try. My only complaint is that you call the courts racquetball courts but they are for Handball too!

I enjoy the indoor aqua fitness classes and I really enjoy the steam room and sauna.
Everything: free towels, great steam room, great pool, nice new layout with gym equipment, awesome locker room. One of my favorite YMCA's in the country and I've been to about 50 of them over the years.

There is a really good variety of classes to take and the expanded weight lifting area is great! The staff is also very friendly.
I'd give it a 9 1/2... as soon as the construction next door is finished and the parking straightened out, it will be a solid 10.

I enjoy going to the Alexander family YMCA. I like the classes. I enjoyed the socialization with the people that attend the classes. The staff is very professional there they make you feel welcome. It’s a great atmosphere is I would definitely recommend this YMCA.

Friendly & helpful staff
I have been at lower costs gyms years ago, and more recently at a very upscale gym. The Y is a more affordable choice that offers me everything I want and need in a friendly comfortable environment. Once I found the Alexander Y was open late enough (specifically the pool) I moved over. Later hours are crucial in my current schdule, and having he pool open until 9:30 works for me (sometimes just barely).
Overall it has been a great move and I am very happy with the Y. I look forward to being to do more there once I retire.
It’s a great Y with clean facility and wide range of workout classes with great instructors. I love the barre and yoga classes. I wish they would move the bars upstairs to the new studio for our barre classes. It would really help my stability. Parking is tight but I do the best I can to find a spot.
