Clean.professional staff
Simply put, its a great facility. Clean locker rooms and bathrooms, a good variety of equipment, and helpful staff. Have not taken advantage of classes yet, but intend to do so in the future.
Also, very much appreciate the no filming policy.

Facilities are always clean, employees are always welcoming, respectful and nice. I enjoy myself every time I go. I make new friends whenever I go to workout. I have plenty of space to clean up and get ready for work in the locker rooms. I personally love the steam and sauna rooms.

Pleasant and helpful staff
I love the YMCA and have been coming since I was a child! The staff is always very friendly and the facilities are always kept up so well.
My only request is to re-post the signs in the Men's Locker Room that prohibit cell phones there. Since the signs came down, more people have been using the phones to film which is not okay in there. Thanks!
Excellent classes, good kid zone hours, steam room.
I heard the Tues/ Thurs 6AM yoga classes are being cancelled. I think this is a mistake. The Thursday class is amazing, pretty full every week, and has the same crowd from week to week.
The Tues class is not, but this is not for lack of demand. There is a waitlist for the early Tuesday yoga class at Poyner. I think the issue is that the style of class offered Tuesday is not a good match for what people want. Too slow, instructor is very nice but not particularly relaxing. The class just isn’t great. A better move would be to try with a different instructor on Tuesdays and I bet you would get a more consistent crowd.

Sense of community
Very clean, professional and the staff was very attentive. I especially liked that there seemed to be a proper dress code. The lobby/cafe area was very spacious too. I liked that they had outdoor tables/seating as well.

Just returned after 4 years, but kept membership active. Only reason for 9 instead of 10 is that I’m not familiar enough with the facility — I literally returned just this week.
The best part is the staff. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Tony Jenkins does a great job of keeping the gym clean and is always so happy to talk to people. It's definitely the best YMCA in the triangle.
It's a lovely place. Very clean, nice amenities. Love all the natural light! The atmosphere is very nice!
Love this place. The staff and leadership team are such fun people to be around and you can tell they truly care about the members. The Membership Engagement team does a great job ensuring everyone feels welcome and can be a part of the YMCA / Raleigh community. I've recommended multiple friends to join the Y and they have and they all have rave reviews.

My one constructive recommendation is to ban the use of cell phones (talking on) in the workout areas. Has become a significant issue.
