more than just a gym it's a family community.
I'm a new member but so far the staff has been friendly, the equipment is well maintained, and the facilities are clean. My only complaint is that the men's sauna needs repair/updating (pending).
The atmosphere is always ao supportive, energizing and friendly. It nourishes my soul as well as my body.
Staff goes above and beyond. Very kind atmosphere. Robin and her team are great and so are all of the smiling staff at the front desk. Very friendly and accommodating.
I'm very happy with the Alexander family YMCA, I would love more than 2 Stairmaster machines. But otherwise it is really great!

The people who work there are friendly, kind, and always ready to help with anything at any moment. The employees really make the place feel like my second home. Everything else is good, as well, but it's the people who work there that make me keep coming back!

I always feel good when I go to the YMCA. It is a friendly and supportive environment from the front desk staff to instructors. My quality of life is greatly improved by my Y membership. It is reasonably priced and worth every penny!
the Alexander YMCA is always clean & smells clean (the Y on Baileywick always seems to have a faint odor of urine fyi). I like the big sunny windows. I like the policy of asking clients to wipe down their exercise equipment. I like the bikes, as this is one thing I am able to do despite injuries from an accident. I like the friendly front desk staff.

I do wish that there were more 8:30 and 8:45 a.m. class options at the Ys near me (Alexander/Southeast/Poyner). There are some great classes at that time but they are at Poole!
That is the perfect time for my schedule....

I am a cyclist and the spinning classes allow me to keep my legs in shape. The many classes per day and the great instructors offer lots of opportunities. I am particularly fond of Jay Chambers classes. He is a notch above and a terrific motivator plus a really nice guy. Never had one that good. Look forward to staying with you and thank you for being there.
I was a member before Covid. It’s good to be back and see familiar faces after being gone for years! It’s like family. The members vary in age so it’s a nice mix.
