Very clean and friendly staff
Since DDH doesn’t have a safe parking situation I always encourage people to check out Wolverine
I like that the pool water is not freezing cold like the downtown Y Family Pool. My main concern is that the water be warm enough, so I try to find the Y with the warmest pool water (not sure why the huge differences), and tho you are further than downtown Y for me, I go the extra distance for warmer water. I like that everything is clean, and I like the windows with open look. (I went to MVP Rockford prior to this for the warm water (92), but it is filthy dirty with no windows, prison-like, and the managers are mean). I like that all the staff are friendly. I like that there is open swim in the afternoon. I like that there are large hooks in the shower rooms instead of the really tiny ones at the downtown Y. I love that the Y offers scholarships for low income. I only use the pool, so no other comments. I like that you are open to suggestions because MVP will be mean to you if you have any. Keep up the great work! Going to tell friends!
My favorite thing is RunTV, a program on the elliptical a that allows you to “run” through various places and experience the “natural” hills and valleys of the landscape you see on the screen. Due to injuries I can no longer run long distances outside. This program is a godsend.
I also love the variety of weight lifting machines. I worked with a wonderful personal trainer - Donavan - and he taught me things that are truly life changing. I am stronger than ever thanks to him and to the great equipment.
I like how the staff always makes me feel so welcome as soon as I come into the door. The classes are fun and there is plenty of equipment to round out my workout.

I spent 2 1/2 months in CA at the Luguna Niguel Y. The treadmills were Free Motion with the iFit workouts and I couldn't wait to go there to see what country I could choose that day to travel with an experienced iFit trainer. I became very excited about these new programs that left me excited and thrilled about going to the Y. I actually dreaded coming home to Belmont knowing that I would be back to the boring, stale and awful music accompanying the visual workouts on the old machines. The other option was to watch a trainer on a machine. The iFit programs provide me with knowledge of exercise, a place to see and visit along with a trainer telling information about where he/she is that day and the huge variety available. I have been to sites around the globe that I will never visit in person. I felt re-born. I came out of the Y every time feeling lifted, joy and a sense of well being. I couldn't ask for much more after a workout. I just want to say; THANK YOU.
