The SpartanNash YMCA is a great organization overall. My daughter loves the Kidz Zone and the staff are always polite and kind to her. The pool is well maintained and available most of the time. There are times when a brief waiting period happens due to capacity issues. The facility is well maintained and the majority of the staff that work upstairs are approachable and engaged. Managerial and staff that work primarily downstairs are also approachable and polite. The only negative feedback I have is something the organization would struggle to control. The younger crowd (Teen to young 20's) consistently show a lack of gym etiquette, spatial awareness, and disregard for "considerate gym behavior" (hoarding weights, taking a machine before another member is finished with it, unnecessarily standing in front of others in close proximity when there is an ample amount of space elsewhere...etc...). Difficult behavior to police, but something that does occur frequently during my visits.
Liked the sauna and hot tub, but the sauna wasn't very hot compared to the MaryFreebed YMCA location

There was plenty of room and the track makes it enjoyable to walk.
It's close to home, clean, pleasant, and has all the options I would like in a fitnaess center.

I’d give this Y a 10 and recommend it. It’s just the location for me. On my way home it’s just west of 131 so convenient to get to if you’re on the west side otherwise downtown facility is the Taj Mahal of YMCAs. Spartan Y’s claim to fame: Great facility for families!

Staff is ECELLENT and provides for all of my needs (at 77 years young that's important)\.

The staff is friendly and helpful, especially Ronnie and Aaron! And whoever is at the front desk always greets people as they enter!
