We generally enjoy our membership at the Y and MFB in particular. The culture at the MFB YMCA is clearly focused on health and wellbeing rather than the stereotypical gym culture. We love the family-friendly focus and that there are areas where younger children are encouraged to learn how to care for and strengthen their bodies. The main area where we wish we could see some improvement is in the pool scheduling. While we believe swim teams are important, we would like to see better utilization of lap lanes for member use and think that it would be best to not have swim lessons or aquatic programs running during the time when a swim team is using lanes. It would also be best to add daily use hours in the entrances of the locker rooms and not just use the white boards inside the pool area or depend on people using the app. I've seen many families get ready to use the pool, including getting small children showered before swimming, only to be turned away.

The facility is very well designed - both beautiful and functional. The staff is friendly and helpful. I like to swim and outdoor swimming is not possible during winter, so being able to swim...and the sauna afterwards is truly wonderful. If I don't swim I can walk or use any of the exercise equipment setups. This is helping me stay fit which means helping me to be better at my job and overall.
I always feel better after a session at the YMCA. It is uplifting to the body and the spirit.
I take the water aerobics classes and the instructors are excellent! They're so positive, encouraging and just plain ole fun.

The environment is open, friendly, and welcoming. Lots of activates for every ability.
What I MISS is what I’ll explain first- the music!!! What I love is the M-F sessions with the superb and skilled Kristi Tuck and the camaraderie with the check in people.

I love the track. It’s very busy but so nice. More sitting elliptical machines (C46) are needed. They are always busy especially now that people that were using MVP using their One Pass membership are coming to MFB Y.

We go nearly every Friday to use the pool and hot tub. The hot tub is wonderful. However, even though the board claims the pool is 86°, it certainly does not feel like it. Speaking with others also confirm the pool is much cooler than the posted temp. Please make accurate temp readings. Better yet...warm the pool up to a more comfortable temp.

Beautiful facility. Love the pool. However water temp could be like 90, because 86 they write on the board feels like 56.
Large,airy space. It never feels crowded when I’m there. Accessibility is great , allowing folks of various abilities.
The people who work there are awesome, and most importantly the group exercise instructors. They learn your name and encourage participants in all of the right ways. Katy Borowka, Holly Provost, Jenny Behmer, and Lori Odroski are phenomenal instructors. Molly Dow is always friendly at the front desk.
