I joined on a recommendation from my Physical Therapist following a back surgery to be able to use the pool for exercise. As I physically improved, I started using the track for walking, and now I'm using the EGYM. I've been impressed by the EGYM and how simple it is to use. I don't need to know all the details of how much weight to use and try to understand how to develop the program. I've given my Physical Therapist the information about it, and he said he wants to check it out and that it looks like a great system.

I like everything about Mary Free Bed YMCA. the staff is pleasant and helpful, the equipment is generally available, the hours are adequate for day or night most of the time, the environment is clean and welcoming. Many programs are available children, youth and physically challenged. I admire and appreciate all who make this happen.
I like using the EGYM because it simplifies using the weight machines. The track is always available to get in some walking. I wish there were a few more classes specifically geared to seniors like the Senior Circuit Training. It makes a difference for seniors sticking with a doable exercise program.
Egym
My husband and I swim laps at the Y. The pool and locker rooms are clean. We can almost always get lanes to ourselves. There are lots of hours for lap swimming. Everyone working at the front desk is friendly and inviting.
Staff is friendly and helpful. It is clean and the equipment is well maintained.
Nice workers and clean place
We like the helpfulness of the staff and the circuit of machines as well as the nice walking track.
Good facilities. Little to no wait time for the equipment. Equipment has been upgraded. Good place for making social connections.

It is not as crowded as the downtown location and has nearly every single amenity that the big Y has.

kids had a blast
Love the Y! It’s the perfect fit for our family of five. We’ve been coming here since our kiddos were infants. Kids Zone was a huge hit for both the kids and us adults. Sometimes I’d drop the kiddos off for a couple of hours just to take a long shower or sit in the hot tub to reset and recoup: uninterrupted "me time" without anyone banging on the bathroom door. It saved my sanity on a weekly basis! Now that the kids are older, we go to the Y and they find things to do on their own after completing their workout assignments. Meanwhile, I play pickleball or join a class. There are so many options throughout the week that I can’t find any reason not to work out. I highly recommend it to anyone!
I love the circuit at Mary Free Bed. Just wish they had it at a center nearer my house.

Exceptional service, always friendly, staff reaches out and helps my son while waiting for a lane to swim his laps. He has Down syndrome and waits up to 20 minutes for a lane and he will give to someone else the lane before himself. But the lifeguards in a loving, caring way, will make sure that people respect him and will step in when appropriate.
