I like the pool. The water is clean, Classes are good. I love the people I have met. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
A caveat: the pool surround needs scrubbing as do walls. Ladies shower floor needs a GOOD scrubbing. Light in locker room mirror needs replacing. Carpeting is fair. The bathrooms are clean. I was disappointed when the Y closed for a “deep clean” only to find above issues not addressed.

I work at the downtown ymca and meant a lot of good people and friends there I would recommend the ymca to anyone. After I retired I been spending the last 6 volunteering and I love ❤️ it I spent 43 and a half years working at the downtown ymca and have a proclamation from the mayor and have a day name after me Bob Petrillo community recognition day Dec. 19 th. I wouldn't go anywhere else but the ymca it's been my entire life.
First time visiting Downtown location. Beautiful place! Beautiful building. I was greeted kindly & was able to ask questions. I was able to see the facilities. It could not be a better "set up" esp w the track. So happy I came Downtown!

Great job at the desk and good facilities. Shower had great pressure and weightroom had everything I needed.

Used pool while Hal Welsh pool was being serviced. As in the past, staff/lifeguard were friendly and helpful, locker rooms and showers excellent.

Pool is always open; gym and weights areas are large and the people are nice!

I’m an armed forces veteran, ex deputy sheriff, among other careers. All my life I’ve participated in sports.
So I’m accustomed to the locker room practices. In a way it’s part of my ancient DNA.The comaraderie that my ancestors built. Past down to me. Allows me to enjoy the experience I get from places primarily like the Downtown Y.
It’s convenient to where I live and there’s no kids there either and I also like the showers. The other thing is that no homeless people bother me. The staff is ok could a little friendlier. The lifeguards are pretty nice.
