The staff is so kind, helpful, and hard-working. I mainly go for use of the pool and it never feels overcrowded, unlike the pools in other local branches. The facilities are kept clean and safe, and they offer wonderful programs members for the community. I also greatly enjoy the security and restricted access being a SYAC member offers. It gives me a place to get away and relax during or after a workout that's separate from where the kids and younger members go. In my opinion, the Downtown Y is the best facility in the greater Syracuse area.
It's definitely one of the best gyms I've been to,and I'm able to get alot of recreation out of the ymca.I can workout, swim, hit the stem room,as well as get my gym clothes washed and return. Couldn't sak for a better place to call my Gym.The staff are very welcoming and friendly,they treat me as a family member.
The main desk greeters are pleasant and helpful. I love the Tuesday 5:45 running group with Ted, such a nice group and a great workout.

The peacefulness while I’m working out and the location
I only use the pool and I find it clean and not crowded. Shhh! Best kept secret. If you don’t mind paying for parking it’s great! Save your quarters.
