I have been going to the Y almost daily ever since I retired almost 11 years ago. I have been going there mainly, or solely, for the swimming, which I enjoy very much.
I find the environmnet at the Y so very refreshing - it is a big place full of light, grownups and children playing basketball, elderly people in the therapy pools, little children - some as young as two(!) or less - taking swimming lessons, the gyms full of dedicated people, little children in arts classes, handicapped people being guided through their swimming lessons, - it is all so refreshing for my mind.

Ms Patty Ryan is a wonderful instructor and manager. She is the heart of the HW YMCA. She is always professional and very motivating. Her exercise classes are amazing.

Many good facilities and usually well maintained
It’s got multiple ways to exercise your body and your mind.
Communal feeling, cleanliness, friendliness, all ages, diversity. Seeing children involved in their programs. My grandchildren are happy to go to the Y to preschool and Child watch. The caregivers are great.
Staff was extremely gentle and helpful
Great kids activities. The art classes for kids have been terrific. The activity pool is really fun. I hope the Evergreen pool will be open some next summer.
