I hold my stylist in high regard. The salon staff is very good in expediting my check in and check out. The salon recently implemented a service charge on credit card purchases. While I understand we are all getting squeezed, I was not notified until I was at check out. Had I known, I would have brought alternative payment. However, since I didn't get notified until I was literally leaving the salon, I had no choice. The charge is not high (3%); however, when you are spending several hundred dollars at a time, it adds up. I was told that I could use cash, debit card or check book only when I was checking out. No one carries a check book these days. I don't use debit cards for fraud protection. I was not offered Venmo, PayPal or other electronic payment. There absolutely should have been a communication sent PRIOR to the new policy implementation. This was a big fall down in an otherwise long term happy client.

It’s always been a great experience visiting this salon. Everyone is very polite and welcoming. All stylist are extremely professional and the products at the salon are great!
I will definitely recommend this place.
After thoroughly explaining to the stylist about my hair and how I wanted my hair to be done. Unfortunately it was not done the way I had asked. Only one side of my hairline was colored, where the gray was the other side was not. I have three different tones in my hair and it hasn’t even been a week. This was my concern that the color would wash out right away. The color did. I have not done my Google or yelp review on my experience as of yet.
However, what was the most concerning to me is how filthy the salon is. The bathroom was so filthy that I didn’t even use it. The whole salon is filthy. There is hair and dirt in the corners. It’s just terrible. I graciously asked for a refund. I was told that they would do a redo. Due to the filth of the salon I never want to return. I simply asked for a refund and they refused to give it to me because they said that I signed a form. No customer should ever have such an experience. They are very unethical. An inspection should be done for the safety of the salon.

We take cleanliness, sanitation, and guest safety very seriously and respectfully disagree with the characterization of our salon. In nearly 18 years of serving the Tampa community, we have never received a complaint of this nature.
As explained, our policy allows us the opportunity to address concerns through a corrective service rather than issuing refunds for services rendered, and we did offer to professionally resolve your concerns accordingly.

Grace was absolutely great!! She really took her time listening to me and then when giving a wonderful head massage while shampooing my her and was meticulous in cutting my hair!
Lauren from Balance Salon gave me an excellent haircut on Wednesday April 29,2026. The front receptionist and the owner greeted me when I came in and offered water while I waited for Lauren. Lauren was prompt, professional and very personable and friendly. I have been going to Balance Salon for several years and would highly recommend this salon.
Isabella at Balance Salon is a wonderful colorist and hairstylist! I’ve been to her three times now for a color refresh and a trim with layering, and after each visit I receive so many positive comments on my hair—which is such a treat for me and a real compliment to Isabella’s talent. I always leave feeling polished and natural. I’ll definitely be back to see her the next time I’m in Tampa!
I have gotten my hair cut at your location three times with Grace, and I have enjoyed my experience each time! She listens to my concerns and needs, and I always leave feeling great about my hair. The front desk staff has also always been very nice.
