You MUST take steps in stopping the HIGH AMOUNTS OF MONIES LISTING AGENTS ARE
CHARGING......Example.....They will say they are giving the Buyer's agent a 2 1/2% commission
MINUS $300 OR $350. Just the other day I was looking at a condo Listing that was listed for
$117000 K. 2 1/2% MINUS $475. Meaning that Sellers agent is taking over 17% of the Buyer's commission back.
Is that agent looking out for their Seller's Best Interest???? What Agent who is looking for a Condo for his Buyer is going to show that Listing knowing they have to give back over 17%???
This has to be CAPPED SO THAT THIS NON-SENSE HAS TO STOP.

I think the bill we just paid was very confusing. If someone did not want to pay the extra $20, how could they eliminate it if paying on line?

Actually, I would recommend Mainstreet to anyone. I love my real estate board, mls, etc... The 1 and only complaint I have is that you automatically add in an amount for RPAC. If this is a "Voluntary" contribution then why do you enter a predetermined amount onto our bill? I have called and emailed about this many, many times, to get the invoice changed so it does not have an amount already added in. I have to go thru 3 screens (all the way to the end) to modify the voluntary amount. Ethic's is one of the most important and most emphasized traits that we as realtors are to have. So important, it is a mandatory training and continuing education course we must all take, yet i feel it is unethical for the RPAC fee to be slipped onto our bill, with the hopes that we will not see it and just pay it. PLEASE strongly consider making this change where we can enter our voluntary amount...instead of having to modify what was predetermined for us.
The classes on subjects that matter. However lately I've seen a little decline in them. I especially like the classes in Nov, Dec, Jan when the market slows a bit, it's a great way to get your license classes in. I have never understood why seasoned agents don't take more classes. I know they're busy but our industry changes all the time, new enhancements to technology, new technology, law changes...it's the thing we know we can count on.
This past Nov, Dec, Jan, I thought there was going to be an offering of a stand alone Sexural Harrassment Class...but haven't seen one.
I love the instructors. Most are just incredible. The webinars are wonderful as well...I've only had one where the instructor was not good, but that's in 4 years that I've been tuning in. She was probably new at it so I would never complain, I have faith she'll get better.
Any time I've called with a question, the folks on the other line are always super helpful.
