My boys had an amazing time at Camp Weaver. Everything, from registration to drop off to pick up, is so well organized and the staff are wonderful. Everyone we encountered was so polite & engaging. The boys thoroughly enjoyed their activities, made great friends and learned new skills. I highly recommend Camp Weaver!
My 9 year old loves this overnight camp! Not only was there so much communication leading up to his camp week but also pictures to view while he was there. This was his first time being away from home that long and as a parent I was a bit nervous but felt reassured after going to open house and after dropping him off! He is already talking about how excited he is to go back next summer!

Favorite activities:
Loved having ice cream options for snack time! Food was good. Liked having Siesta time. All the chosen activites were fun. All the counselors were nice and fun.
Feedback about things that could potentially be improved:
There could be a brief orientation for new campers to help them know more, even though we did attend the open house.
It was a bit stressful at arrival when there were not 2 beds near each other for the two campers who signed up and requested to be together.
Regarding meals - Did not enjoy sitting outside in the sun while waiting for meals. There was not enough food on the family style plates, which always started at the same side and those at the end had to be the same ones to go on line for more food - perhaps vary the starting point. The day campers took all the ice.
No dry off time allocated when getting out of the pool or lake, so were in wet clothes in the afternoon.
Didn't like doing gardening.
Could there be a place to put letters/postcards for mailing (perhaps in the cafeteria building)?
It was overall a great experience, can't wait to come back next year!
Our child love having both structured activities and a little bit of free time. And, every day she would brag about how kind al of the counselors were.
A lot of amazing activities, my son always has a blast!

My baby girl was thrilled from the 1st to the last day of camp. This was her 1st year attending. She asked if she could do 2 weeks next year!!

A variety of activities to keep the kids engaged and active. My kids always make friends. This is their 3rd year at Camp Weaver and they’ve already asked to go again next summer.

The kids had an amazing time! So much to do and not just held to their assigned activities.
My 4 grandkids, ages 7-9, had a great time at Camp Weaver. Thought it was their first time at an overnight camp, all 4 adjusted well and came back full of great stories, new confidence and, of course, camp songs! I can tell, too, that the counselors really made a positive impression on them - both their cabin counselors and others throughout the organization. They said the food was great and even our gluten free guy was impressed with the choices. The facility is exceptional and the memories will last a lifetime!

My daughter experienced her very first overnight camp this summer at Camp Weaver. We were nervous for her, but she had an absolute blast! Camp Weaver is a 10/10 experience from registration to pick up and she will absolutely be back every summer!

I like the fact that there is no screen time and it made my child get more acquainted with the things around her. I think this was the best thing that a co-worker shared with me and look forward to next year as well.
My child loves everything about this overnight camp .. the counselors, the campers and friendships, the activities, the memories and new friends she comes home talking about for weeks/months! She even talks about Chef Ray’s delicious food!
We love that we can pick our top 3 activities! Great venue - cozy cabins, awesome lake with toys, there’s so much we love about this place! Extremely affordable in comparison to other NC camps. We love Camp Weaver!!
I love that my daughter is able to be technology free and fully engaged with others in a variety of activities. She has the opportunity for fun and fellowship, gains independence and has service opportunities through the LIT program. Camp Weaver is well run and the staff takes great care of campers. Our daughter looks forward to each summer at camp.

My son loves swimming and canoeing in the lake. I really appreciate that lunch is provided and that there is bus transportation from our local YMCA.

My child loved Camp Weaver! A friend’s son recommended it after he had been & it did not disappoint. From a parent’s standpoint, it seemed well staffed and well run. The counselors seemed excited to be there and everything was very clean and well kept. My son loved his counselors, loved the food and made friends. He didn’t get all his requests for activities but loved the ones he assigned. We will be back!
