Member Testimonials
My kids have been going for years and love it, rain or shine! We recommend it to so many people!
One piece of feedback is to remove the "proof" from the photos- it makes it very difficult to view the photos and find our kids.
I like that our kids can try new activities each year, and there are so many to choose from! I LOVE how energetic, engaging, and kind the counselors are, too!
Our child loved dance and drama, loved the counselors because they were fun and enjoyed playing with peers, loved swimming in the lake- felt safe because he was screened appropriately for his swimming ability, loved the food, parents appreciated that child clearly exerted A Lot of energy through out the camp day because he came home tired.
Lots of variety
They have a wide range of options for the kids to choose from. My kids had a wonderful time and loved every minute of it.
The variety of programs and activities is huge
My son likes the pool and the animal care.
The camp is a wonderful place and filled with great staff!!! I am very impressed with the attention the counselors gave while taking care of my daughter!!! The kids are very busy throughout the day with all kinds of fun activities!!!
I enjoyed hearing of the activities available.
We like that you offer such a variety of activities to take part in, (rowing, archery, animal care, etc).
The kids enjoyed the activities - specifically the BB range.
My child absolutely loves the options and structure. We appreciate that you offer an all-day, OUTDOOR experience for this age range. Favorite activities are archery, paddling, bb guns, and team sports. My one request would be for returning campers who have already reached green band to have supervised swim time on Mondays when their new peers are testing.
My child really enjoyed the activities, having a bit of independence, meeting new friends and spending time with the counselors. The team was compassionate and organized. We appreciate the experience.
You offer many things to do, some new things, and some that already hold interest. Plus, the campers are meeting new people with common interests. It’s an overall growth experience, that they can take with them, even when camp is done.
The variety of activities and the camaraderie created each week
1. My son loves it
2. It seems to have a lot of safety built in, like the swim test, multiple counselors and very clear instructions on drop off and pick up
3. Variety of activities - pool, archery, lake, arts, cooking
4. Beautiful location and grounds
5/ Great communication with the staff
In short, we love Camp Weaver
I like the easiness of sign up, drop off and pick up! It always goes very smooth. The activities that cabins do together are great and well received by the kids, I think they truly like Competing against the other cabins.
This was my godson’s first time. He had a great time meeting new people. I look forward to next year.
My daughter is not the typical outdoorsy type however she completely thrives at Camp! She tries new things, makes new friends every year and loves seeing friends from years past. Not once has she said didn’t want to return!
They are fun!
We love that our sons feels so alive at camp. Each year, he has come home from camp and sang camp songs for weeks, told countless stories, and looks forward to returning. We also appreciate that Camp Weaver is affordable compared to many other overnight camps (even other YMCA camps)!
My son had a wonderful time at Camp Weaver. He looked forward to everyday and enjoyed all the activities. I believe the lake was the highlight, fishing and the lego land. Organization leading up to camp, drop off/pick up and the friendliness of staff were superb. Great job and look forward to returning next year.
Kids enjoyed the pool and Warwick.
Great program, staff and leadership oppurtunities.
I love the staff members and my son, Hunter, always has something positive to say about his day/week at camp.
My child came home excited to tell me everything that he was doing throughout the week. It was a great experience. For only doing one week, he was able to try so many different activities. I can imagine when he goes back next year to do multiple weeks, he will have an opportunity to do some of the activities he was not able to to in one week.
I believe there was a runner in his group that did cause a slowdown on the rest of the group and that was in itself a great learning experience for him to understand about self discipline and how your actions can affect others. From what I was told, he says the counselors were very good and handling the situation very respectfully. They were kind to all the kids.
Thank you for having everything organized for the. As well as, having the pickup line running well. Hope the Summer will be filled with great memories!
Everything was great!!
The lake, the activities, meet new people
This was my daughter’s first time at camp. She made a friend and she had fun. She conquered her fear of going down the slide into the lake and she experienced different activities that she normally wouldn’t have. She enjoyed this camp and can’t wait to go back.
