The group fitness classes and pool/swimming lessons! Love High Fitness and LIFT! The instructors are so great.

I wish there was a 8:30 or 9:30 yoga class on Thursday mornings. And of course, we’d love an outdoor pool in addition to the splash pad at Whitaker!

Whitaker YMCA offers a variety of well rounded programs for all ages and fitness levels. The staff are all certified professionals, willing to help and share advice to all individuals. Whether you are just starting a fitness program or are a seasoned athlete, the staff at Whitaker YMCA can help you with your training program. They can recommend the proper exercises for each individual so that they stay injury free and progress in their training program. Another highlight you will recognize immediately as you enter the Whitaker YMCA is how clean and sanitary the facility is. Excellent facility overall.

I absolutely love the Y! I’ve made so many friends from the group exercises. Everyone is so welcoming, loving, helpful and never judgy. It’s always scary to start a new gym for tons of reasons. The Y makes it feel like home so there is nothing to be scared of. I tell everyone how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE it there.

Clean facility and friendly staff

I currently only use fitness center and indoor walking track, I would like to see Tai Chi, and pilates classes offered and perhaps a class on balance and stability for those over 50. Also classes at more times, prefer early in am.

Weight room and aquatic center

I like the variety available and the space is very convenient and well suited for the activities available.
