The truth is my YMCA experience began in 1998. It would be impossible for me to describe my YMCA experience just based on the two or three weeks I've been at the Farmington location. I started at the Westland Y in 1998, when my physician recommended water exercise would be good for recovering from a knee injury resulting in surgery. The staff was excellent.
The staff at Westland was excellent. My son was three years old and fascinated by the water.
So I started him in toddler classes as a guppy or a tadpole. When Westland closed I was relocated to the Livonia Y where I met another wonderful group of YMCA water staff and the front desk staff also.
So, I'm extremely hopeful that Farmington will be a continuation of a great experience, since (warm) deep water exercise is my lifestyle.
By the way I love the upgrades to the ladies locker room.
The private dressing rooms are great.

I really love the pool. I was disappointed tonight when I was told I needed to get out at 7:45 pm. I was not aware that you now close at 8:00 pm. When I was a member in the past, it was open until 10:00 pm. I will need to adjust my schedule to get there earlier.
