The fitness instructors, front desk staff, pool lifeguards - all the people we interact with every time we go to the YMCA are like extended family. They all ask about our lives and make us feel really welcome. They worry if we don't show up to a regular class or swim lane time.
We live a solid 25 minute or longer drive from Carls, but it is worth the drive, because it's more than "just a gym." Carls Family YMCA is a true community center.

I absolutely love coming to the Y. I’ve recently started taking classes, and it’s been a real eye opener. I had no idea how weak my ankles were until I took a shot at the fitness yoga class (in the best way). My kids adore the ladies in child watch, and I feel very secure leaving them in their care. Being a member has been a true gift.
