The facility has so much to offer for anyone. I love the Y.
--Lap Pool - CLEAN - helpful, walking, and vigilant guards watching more carefully than any lifeguards I've ever seen. One of them found my swim fins which I had forgotten. (I know. Hard to believe I'd walk off without them.)
--Shallow pools for kids and adults learning to swim. Great personnel keeping an eye on things.
--Weight room with all those new machines for whole body workouts. You have attracted a very serious group of people working out.
--Shower room - Clean - Nice layout -Showers work well and are fixed when they don't work well. The locker room feels safe and protected.
--Attentive and friendly folks at the front desk.
--Cleaning staff doing a consistently good job everywhere.
--Overall a beautiful building and boost for Detroit.

The swim instructor Alexis is phenomenal I am a senior and have tried swim lessons for a number of years from a child to young adult without success at YMCA and YWCA and this is the first time that I have felt confident and with a hope that I will succeed and learn to swim. This is my second class at Boll Family YMCA in Detroit. My experience with your facility has been positive and encouraging, thanks to Swim Instructors Alexis and Keith my first class was taught by Alexis and Keith. Both instructors were encouraging, re-assuring and displayed confident in the task to teach the students in the class to overcome fear of the water and confidence in learning to swim. The mission was accomplished in 6 lessons and I am now completing my second class and have advanced to enrolling in class number 3 Intermediate Beginners in approximately three weeks.
Alexis alone was my instructor during Class Number two and I look forward to a continuation of her ability to teach the sport with professionalism and with a touch of personalism I felt that she was truly concerned with my being confident and embracing the sport which was what I needed to complete the course. These two young adults are an asset to your facility and the goals you have for your members. Thank you Alexis and Keith. 5 Stars Kudos, JOB WELL DONE!
Boll has the nicest staff
The fitness center is incredible, maybe missing one or two machines but there is enough equipment that you aren’t constantly waiting for others to finish. Very happy with my decision to buy a membership.
I enjoy the community at the boll, YMCA. The trainers are great. The staff is kind. I do appreciate the fact that you guys have brought in some additional staff, so I get to see a second string and therefore some of the key employees get some nice time well-deserved time off during the week.
My husband and I love the service we receive from the staff. We love the silver sneakers classes,and the Camaraderie that we have with fellow members.

Excellent clean facility!! I love coming to the indoor track in the mornings on my days off. The pool and jet tub are amazing. The views of the city are great while working out. The staff are always friendly. Overall great facility!
I typically only use the pool but I'm always happy when I leave the Y!
I appreciate the pool hours being consistent. I like the childcare options (but I've yet to take advantage of them).

I love the Y downtown. Its so beautiful and I love looking out the huge windows when I workout. I don't love to workout but doing it there makes it easier to go. People are always worried about the parking but it hasn't been a problem for me yet.
