Customer service is amazing, enjoying the E-Gym, and walking on the treadmill. Building is always clean and welcoming.
I love the facilities, it's the only place I can play squash in the city. Cycling class with David was absolutely incredible, super motivating and excellent vibes.
There is a lot to like at the Y. However, I believe what it is that I like best is the tradition.
I have a very fond memory of my dad telling me stories of when he was a young boy and how much fun he had at the YMCA in Detroit. I find it very telling that all these decades later the Y is still thriving and so many people are still enjoying it, just like my dad did.
I'd be remiss if I did not also mention the feeling I get when I walk into Y. It is unpretentious and somehow very calming. Yet at the same time there's a great energy and it's a very supportive place to be. No matter your age or interests, there are numerous options in regard to classes and fitness levels. I enjoy it thoroughly and would recommend it to anyone!

Instructors are absolutely amazing. The pool area is kept up nicely and everyone practice great safety skills at school he pool.

The facility is excellent. The pool is the best I have ever used; it is my primary reason for belonging to the Boll Family YMCA. I'm a senior and I appreciate the group exercise classes that include in-water exercise classes as well. The shower rooms are well maintained and the showers are always clean. The staff is unfailingly courteous and congenial. The lobby has a rotating art show that displays works by local artists, and the shows I have attended at the in-house theater have been wonderful. The outer walls are all glass and the experience is always well lighted and open feeling.
Parking is not great, but if I'm willing to drive around for a few minutes street parking is almost always available if I'm willing to walk a block or two. All bets are off for Sundays when theLions are playing. Oh, well, if that's the biggest complaint I have, I still would belong to the Boll Family Y.

Erica's Zumba and Body Pump classes are awesome! Jim's Step Aerobics classes are amazing! I know other class offerings arw good too. I have personal knowledge about these!
