I took Adult Swim Basics with Andrea, and she is incredible! I gained so much confidence over the 7 weeks of class, and hit all my goals for swimming and safety in the water. She is such an excellent instructor, I have recommended the class to anyone I know who can't swim.
Overall, the facility is very clean, and I ended up signing up as a full member as a result of my experience in the swim class.
Very friendly staff and welcoming to everyone.
It’s the perfect addition for getting through winter without feeling like too many days are stuck at home!
I love the pool! Ann is a great instructor and gives you the best workout and has great music.
On my first visit, it was very welcoming. Very busy.
I just like the YMCA reminds me of when I was a little girl it was free then.
Staff is always friendly. I enjoy the different equipment options.
Staff was very helpful and the facility is nice!
I love how friendly the front desk, instructors and general staff. The instructors are super professional and encouraging!
The group adult classes are fantastic! Would like more 6:15 AM or 7 AM classes. The coat racks could be dusted more frequently.
I like the people.
The pool could be a BIT warmer. Just a couple degrees.
The ‘tense’ of this question is ‘past tense’, ‘Liked’, I prefer present tense…
LIKE. The Y is great and that’s why I like it.
Staff is very nice and welcoming
Family oriented; nice, pleasant, and helpful staff. Variety of workout options with professional instructors to help with workouts
Everyone is friendly, it’s a great place and my trainer is the best EVERRRRRRR
Love the experience. I enjoy the community aspect so much. You see people of all ages being active and it’s really heartwarming.
The staff, programs and facilites at the Farmington Y are great. I look forward to starting my day at the Y!
The variety of fitness activities and the friendly, community environment.
Friendliness and good service at the service desk.
Great staff and friendly members.
Love the pool and lifeguard staff.
The parking lot seems to be empty these days. How about parking for the disabled elders who come for classes? I am able to park on the street at a distance so I’m lucky. Last week one woman spent 25 minutes trying to park close enough to get her wheelie suitcase through the snow banks. People on fixed income may not be able to afford the garage.
A) Long hours
B) Many kind of equipments
C)Inner track of 1/10 mile
We have attended the Adult exercise classes for about 4 years (also chair exercises sometimes).
They are well-run and beneficial to us.
While the Y is doing good job, lately there has been a cut back on staffing, fewer spray bottles to clean machines, and at times no paper towels.
Friendly staff, Many options for exercises and many classes for seniors too
Easy access
Location and availability of Pickleball. The one issue I have is that many of the classes play the music at an extremely high volume, so I cannot take them unless I were to wear plugs. Stacy always played. Sic at a reasonable level which other instructors should do. Don’t think the Y should allow music that is probably close to a harmful level for exercise classes. Nobody I spoke to ever really likes the music that loud.
I really appreciate the flexibility and affordability of the Y, with the childcare for my kids, and the variety of group classes that I can enjoy!
Friendly and informative. Go out of the way to help.
it is a very welcoming community.
Hours, various classes and times
