Great family friendly place to gather for lots of activities. Excellent offering of swimming and numerous other fitness classes. The wellness center, features EGYM. It is top rated. Childcare is available for times listed. The staff and instructors are welcoming and very knowledgeable. I do not have anything negative to say about my Y membership!
Egym has been a life changing experience for my health and wellness. Terrific summer camps for my children. Plenty of opportunity for community engagement.

Pool is fun and you can usually get a lane or share one if you want. I like doing laps.

Close to home a lot of equipment
There are such a fantastic variety of work out sessions offered. I am a Senior (AGE). and in all the classes I participate in we are instrucsted and encouraged to work at our individual ability/level. Just keep moving.
It is amazing to find out that one is capable of doing more than one thinks they can.

I really like being able to use the same pool I used as a kid; even completed my Red Cross Lifesaving training training there about 45 years ago!

Classes and instructors
Very versatile - everything from weights to pool to basketball. It has something for everyone.
I like the varity of strengthing machines and exercise classes for seniors. Also you have a wonderful warm pool with senior classes and the larger pool as well. The facility provides a variaty of exercises for a varity of ages and abilities

All of the people there are really helpful and pleasant. The center was easy to join and has some classes that we are interested in.
I enjoy the exercise I get in the water, but the friends and support they give to me and each other is what I really love about the Downriver Famuly YMCA.
You get to know the same people that you work out with and the staff. Please find a way to keep the Birmingham YMCA going with a pool.
