I love my Y and always recommend it to friends. The teachers are very welcoming and inclusive and the range of classes is wonderful. I am addicted to the gym - how great is that!!! Awesome facilities, super friendly staff, huge selection of places to go. Ive been a member at a few other gyms and its no contest - you have a pool, a steam room, a sauna, free classes, basketball courts, pickleball, squash - what other gym is going to have so much for so little?

The classes are great
The great array of classes to choose from ~ both water and land. It is just terrific and the coaches/teachers/instructors of the various super balanced classes are terrific as well. I also appreciate the abundance of open lanes for general swimming time as well, as distinct from lap swimming only. I highly recommend.

The instructor Pauline is excellent,she is professional,inclusive and accommodating.

Our two kids loved the Creative Arts summer camp, every day they came home happy and excited about things they worked on or created. The team at the Camp were amazing, especially Jay and Justin!! Thank you to everyone, Ethan and Maya want to go again next summer.
I work out regularly at the Salem Y and have been enjoying the extra strength training class options on weeknights (Rick Johnson), in addition to Beth's strength classes which I've been attending for years. I'm looking forward to trying the new rebound classes that start soon.

Teaches the kids to share and get along with other children especially children that are an only child.
Great machines, personable employees that make you feel like family and a great atmosphere. You’re the only Y that has medal plates which a huge plus LOL. If we didn’t live in Gloucester, we would be going there all the time.

Put the hose back in the steam room please
Let us clean it ourselves, it’s getting gross, need water to self clean- or else, get someone in there every hour on the hour to clean it. Pubic hair etc. turn up the heat, it’s not hot enuff, don’t treat us like children - put a sign up if something isn’t right - everyone loves the steam so pls put a hose in there so we can feel clean and not like it has cooties or Covid !!
