Staff and equipment

Primarily the incredible teachers. We put our *full* trust in these phenomenal educators to love, care for, and educate our children every day. They truly go above and beyond their duties - in so many ways - and we are so grateful.

We also love access to swimming, gymnastics, "sports mania", art, the playgrounds, exposure to new books/people/careers/experiences... the physical and mental opportunities provided to our children here are endless and top notch.

Everything! All the staff members are so friendly. They are very much involve with all the kids. Love that they have different activities everyday. Always have a nice conversation about what they did that day or what my child did that was funny and sweet. My child love it here. at the end of the day when I pick him up he always gives a hug goodbye to all of his teachers.

The staff!! The team at the ELC is special; their care and expertise and unmatched, and their ability to create a caring, welcoming and inclusive community is commendable.

My family experienced a hardship in the form of the death of an immediate family member. It was an awful time, but Sarah and the team showed such compassion and extended such warmth, humanity and professionalism that when I look back at that time I will remember the ELC as the only bright spot.

I truly love this place

Love seeing the toddler rooms getting to use the outdoor pool and all the outdoor activities.

I loved what the Y provided us during our son’s infant period. It was a lot! But we alway had support, good advice and a trusted childcare option for our son. Thank you!

A fantastic place to create a better you and develop new friendships. Very caring and supportive employees. I’m so thankful for the support and encouragement. Once I incorporated the Marblehead “Y” into my weekly routine, I feel much happier and healthier. Really a top notch facility !!

John is exhausted from camp and we love it. We had to dig through the lost and found bin to find the water bottles and sunscreen he's lost so far which isn't fun. Maybe a reminder to counselors to have the kiddos do a bag check for the usual items? He's missing one or two things everyday.

This YMCA is what I have been calling my 'beacon of light on top of the hill'. I am a SAHM and have been for 3 years. And before that I was a working first time Mom during COVID. To say it has been a tough and lonely time would be an understatement. I (we) only recently joined the Y; and I have slowly learned how to have time to myself doing REAL self care moments. Going to classes, talking with other Mom's and starting to feel 'normal' or at least on the path to finding myself and feeling 'normal' again. I have not had a lot of safety in life but now I am starting to feel strong and safe for the first time. And I owe it all to the Y. Thank you for helping to give me myself again!!
