Why are you so likely to recommend the Y?

The new facility is nice, especially the ladies' locker room. The steam room is an added bonus as not many YMCAs have them. The showers are nice with the changing area included. The design of the work out area is a bit too open for me and a bit too hot, but otherwise, the facility is nice.

What do you like about our program and activities?

Programs are excellent. My only issue is the swimming pool temperature is too cold.

The Y at Gloucester Crossing is terrific!. I love the clean, attractive facility, friendly and helpful staff, especially the greeters and excellent equipment.

Why are you so likely to recommend the Y?

The pool helps me to get healthy. I love the water aerobics. I get to socialize with friends and meet new people. I love the friends and families I meet. It is a brand new facility and we are blessed to have it so close to home. The splash pad is so nice for the community. It is centrally located near Market Basket and Urgent Care. The people are friendly and it is a real sense of community and support.

Overall I would recommend it to friends and family because I want them to get healthy, socialize and be more part of the community and meet new friends and have a sense of belonging to the community. For friends and family to be a part of something that is healthy and fun to do that they can enjoy individually or as a family.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a great YMCA and I t thank God for it since He built it and gave it to us after the worst of covid. This YMCA opened April 5th the day after Easter. Only God could do something Awesome like this out of covid. It is his Easter miracle. He pushed back Covid and gave us the YMCA to get us healthy. This is not for man's glory but God's and we need to give HIm glory for it . He used men to build it but He gave them the money to do it and the blessings to accomplish it. To God be the Glory great things He has done!

What do you like about our program and activities?

We live in Ipswich, but our 4 yr old loves the Gloucester pool and has just started Saturday morning (9:45) swimming lessons. It's the one activity that we've enrolled him in that he actually talks about and wants to participate in. He LOVES the instructor - so thank you for being awesome!

What do you like about our program and activities?

Junior Celtics was a great first sport experience for my son. He had so much fun and looked forward to practice with his coaches every week! The only complaint from him was that practices were only once a week!

What do you like about our program and activities?

We’ve done sports at the Y for years. This was the first year I was completely happy and so were my kids. Coach Nick organized an amazing basketball program with the Celtics, constantly communicated with the parents, gave amazing encouragement to all the kids including the kids who were just learning and made sure everyone had fun. We signed up for the travel basketball after just because I knew he was going to have a part of it and my kids love him.

Why are you so likely to recommend the Y?

Beautiful spaces, friendly staff and atmosphere, UV in the air system, inexpensive.

One improvement would be some Precor EFX 556 or 576 ellipticals - I don't like the existing Precor ellipticals, and the Matrix ones are OK but not great.

The coaches are outstanding! Especially Nick and Mark! Their leadership is the main reason we pursue Cape Ann Y sports.
