Member Testimonials
Beautiful facility, friendly staff.
Only complaint is that there aren’t enough available lanes for swimming, particularly in the summer with so many camps using the pool.
We are in the Cornerstone Program, and enjoy restorative yoga. My husband also enjoys classes with Cornerstone Program.
Four individuals we recommended have joined.
It's a wonderful place with lots of activities.
Cleanliness. Quality and condition of all the equipment. Friendly atmosphere.
Beautiful facility with wide variety of options for classes and workouts. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Clean
I love the facilities.
The facilities are kept clean and are very versatile. Staff members are always kind and happy to help. The community at the Cape Ann YMCA is unmatched with any gym I’ve been to!
Every community should have a Y where people of all ages can exercise at a reasonable price. This is so good for a community to offer such an opportunity to people from all backgrounds & all ways of life. At a time when people are struggling to pay for basic necessities, the Y represents a possibility for people to take care of themselves & their families.
Awesome staff.
First class instructors.
Variety of classes.
Zumba!
I’ve enjoyed using quality equipment, taking classes (tai Chi), getting service from the physical therapy center run by Addison Gilbert, and interacting with helpful staff — especially Cassie.

Awesome staff!
The staff are friendly and helpful; the pool is nice. But the locker rooms are often not clean, especially the shower areas. If this were improved, you’d get a 10!
Friendly staff and facility is very clean.
The Y is a vibrant active community and a beautiful clean space.
Caring professional employees of every kind.
Clean and functional layout
The Cape Ann YMCA has become an integral part of my health and wellness routine. I am there 3 to 5 times a week. The staff, amenities, and the youth programs are great! What matters more goes well beyond the ways my family benefits. It’s a place for everyone and this Y is a community hub unlike anything else that exists locally. The mission of the Y is so important, especially now, and I’m so incredibly grateful.
Variety of classes, facility, staff
being a senior the ymca gets us out and gets us moving and meeting active people our age and keeping strong and fit and we tell everyone it is a fun place to go because the YMCA is very very clean and very bright and there are many exercise machines to try and for a relatively small fee a month you get so much for your money back good health today is everything especialy for seniors so try a day at the YMCA seniors you will love it
Always been there for me
I love the Y. Wish I made it in more often.
I love my pool classes, especially Aqua Zumba with Calandra.
Great programs and always looking for more! Friendly instructors that always seem to be willing to help and offer help.
It is a great facility with a terrific staff.
I love the class and activities. Miss Lucy is fantastic it has helped develop my kid's skills and confidence. it would just be great if the gym space was better/bigger.
The staff is incredibly welcoming!
It's a great facility... something for everyone. Your new soap dispensers in the locker room are a waste of money. Soap becomes a glob that slides off hands onto shower floor. The soap that you can manage to keep doesn't lather. Cheaper isn't better.
Clean
Up to date equipment
Lots of class offerings
Instructors are knowledgeable and modify, if necessary
It is a beautiful asset to our city with so much to offer the families!
It's a great place for a senior like me. O especially enjoy the poop.
