It was my 1st visit to the Cape Ann Y and I was very impressed. Cindy, the receptionist, was outstanding. Friendly, informative, kind and helpful. I was there to take the Aqua Circuit class with Kathy Coffy and it was OUTSTANDING. That instructor is unbelievable. She filled in at Ipswich and told us about the Thursday class at Cape Ann and I decided to give it a try. So happy I did. I'll be back. You should be very proud of your team at Cape Ann.
It has been great so far fire me ands my young daughter. The facilities are always in pristine condition and everyone who works there is so friendly!

The pool temperature is perfect and the male lifeguard on Thursday and Monday mornings has been very kind and helpful in orienting me to how things work.
I haven’t interacted with staff in the fitness center but love that I haven’t had to wait for equipment and that there is plenty of space for pre- and post-workout stretching.

I 1st visited the Gloucester Y when I received PT there. Decided I would like to join in the future. Your facility is beautiful and your staff are all very friendly and helpful. You have a 1st class facility! Looking forward to swimming laps in your pool and joining some of your classes over the coming year.
We are new to Cape Ann and love the YMCA. The facility is nice and new, the gym equipment is great, the pool is a new source of exercise for us and can't wait to try the pickle ball!
The only thing we would like to see is more channel selection on the tv monitors. It's so nice to exercise while watching your favorite channels.

New facilities, friendly staff, what's not to like?
I signed my granddaughter up for swimming lessons for the first time. She had just turned 4. Cora was very apprehensive and timid about getting in water without hanging onto someone.
At her first lesson, she got out of the pool after only a few minutes, and sat next to me while we watched. We were leaving when Jamie, one of the instructors, asked if she would like to join his group, as it was more of a beginner group than the one she had been assigned to. Jamie has a big friendly personality and jokes with the kids. He has a way of gently coaxing the kids and making a game out of getting them excited to learn how to swim. Honestly, he was the right fit for my granddaughter and has worked miracles with her. Cora went from having a death grip on Jamie's neck to being much more independent and willing to try most things that Jamie presents to her. Jamie has earned her trust and she is all smiles when in his class. This has turned into a very positive learning experience and it's because Jamie is so patient and works well with all the kids in his group.

The new basketball director is wonderful! He is so involved ( I always see him at practices and games) and with such a large group of kids he has been very organized and has been great with communication, very much appreciated!
