The facilities/building are inviting with abundant space. The equipment is well-stocked - I've never had to wait for something. The energy is upbeat. I almost always like the playlist that provides background music.

The Y is the only convenient exercise facility with a pool near where I live. It is also conveniently close to my favorite supermarket. I feel so lucky that the Macleod facility is SO NICE! We are blessed that the funding for this most excellent enterprise came through. I go to this Y in order to get into a flow state of swimming which enables my body to remain youthful, and my mind to free itself from the cares of the physical world. Then I get cleaned up really nicely and I am ready for life. And having access to such a modern facility makes it feel like we live in a Utopia, and that illusion fills me with optimism and dignity to be a positive member of the community.

Everything about this facility is first class! We love the pool, the classes and even the cold tank. Military membership pricing is fantastic. Convenient to other things in Gloucester as well. Wouldn't change a thing.

The YMCA is a great resource for the community, where you get a lot of activities for all generations, a friendly atmosphere and a helpful group of staff!
I love the ease of parking, the cleanliness, the variety of classes & equipment that is kept in the best shape, the availability of staff to help & their friendliness, availability of lockers, the community I see there & the constant upkeep of everything & addition of new programs & classes.

Everybody’s super friendly and helpful when you walk in the door. The few classes I’ve taken have been top notch. The facilities are beautiful and have a lot of different characteristics suited to a wide range of interests.
There is so much to do with all the classes, pool and pickleball. You can be a beginner or advanced and there is something for you.
It's clean, everyone is friendly and it has so much to offer. I love Desda's strength classes and the egym is such an added benefit.
