The league is great. I wish there were more games. The matches at times were uneven so narrowing the skill or age group would be really beneficial. Especially when it was 10 year old girls vs 13 year old boys. Adjusting the tee boxes would be great.
Dan Dempsey (the coach) is amazing with the kids providing the right level of instruction, correction and support. My only wish is that it was a little bit longer of a season, as it seems to go so quickly. My oldest son played in the PGA Jr League for 5 years, and is now headed off to play golf at college - I fully credit Dan and the program for fostering his love of the game and his skill.
Competition
The program was excellent! The instructors were great with the kids and gave them feedback as they were playing. My son really enjoyed playing against kids his own age.
We loved the partner/scramble format, the wonderful experience of playing matches, and most of all, the supportive coaches who meet kids where they are in their learning journey and really made it FUN!
Our coach was wonderful. It was a fun atmosphere and our golfer learned a lot.
My two boys had a great time. Chris at Nippo Lake was great. My boys really improved.
A great way to expose kids to competitive golf
Great introduction to the children. I would suggest a practices start a little earlier in the season to get the new children acclimated to the course.

Great program to introduce a new, young player. Saw a lot of improvement playing twice a week and love the matches and seeing different courses.
We thought it was outstanding. First name removed really enjoyed it, and the combination of the instruction and competition really helped improve her game and made her enjoy the sport even more. If there were anything I would change it would be to start Friday practice at 3pm vs 2pm, but I do understand the desire to finish by 5pm. We look forward to partaking again next year.
It is a well run program that allows my competitive golf a chance to have fun playing golf with friends that wouldn’t play with him otherwise

The program run by Ryan McDonald at the Wenham Country Club has to be the most sought after program north of Boston, if not all of New England. They carry and coach so many kids and do an amazing job with coaching. They’re patient, informative, and make the game fun for all ages - even the parents/spectators. My daughter’s been playing here for 4 years and has grown incredibly into a golfer and someone with love and integrity for the game. There’s a reason this program fills up so quickly each year and will continue to grow the game.
Great way to introduce the game of golf to boys and girls of all ages. They get to meet other kids from around the state and play on some beautiful courses.

Our coach was fantastic. Did a great job with the kids. Was able to balance being patient with the kids but also teaching them and holding them accountable. It’s a great learning experience for anyone looking to pickup the game of golf
