Consumer Testimonials
I like that they get to play on different courses
I like that the decisions they make on play are their own and without help from parents
Team environment and teaching kids how to play the game of golf in a fun way.
The team approach, the schedule is conducive to working parents and the access to courses.
My 11 year old appreciates the competition. That's the main point for him.
The coaches are helpful and friendly. By mixing up players, the kids had the opportunity to play with different people. Thank you!
The swing instruction
We like being able to play at different courses.
Focus on player development over wins/losses. As a parent coming from a different sport with our older 2 kids, this experience with our youngest daughter was much more focused on just playing, enjoying the game and the experience. It was also very affordable compared to other sports programs.
This was our first year participating and playing. I love that the practices are all optional, but there’s always a coach available to help. And the matches always seemed fair and moved well.
For the first time our son participated in golf, it was a very great experience for him. He is excited about the sport and can not wait to participate next fall. Thanks to the coaches who made this happen.
Great program and the best part for parents was the times/days.
Instruction and positive competition opportunities
My son is improving his golf game, learning sportsmanship and great instructors. The teams in my area aren't the best of the beat and don't seem to make it to the tournaments but they all have heart.
I like the format in general. Playing as a team against a team and using best ball enables players to focus on the hole instead of their last shot. The format helps with what is a very technical and difficult sport be more fun for the kids.
My son and I really like the program. It really provides a good foundation for the kids to learn the game the correct way. Having a captain’s choice format allows them to relax and do their best while still paying attention to the rules and good sportsmanship. I can’t think of a better way for my son to learn and play this wonderful game and we both look forward to the spring league.
The seasoned kids mentoring newer kids, regardless of their age difference. The social aspect for the parents. This is a new set of friends (parents and kids alike) and support system when a set of parents can't be available.
Our son loved everything about the program. He enjoyed his coach, his teammates, and the competition. As parents, we appreciated Coach Adam's ability to group kids, address individual needs, and work tirelessly to reschedule matches due to weather.
The learning and competitive nature of the program.
We were really impressed with the organization and pairing of kids with other kids who could help them and work as a team. This was our first experience with the PGA Jr. League and we liked the comradery this approach built.
It gives kids who don't like the "traditional" youth team sports the opportunity to be part of a team. It's also a great way for them to get outside!
The participants learn the basic skills of golf and how to make decisions while playing golf.
The parents have an opportunity to support their child by watching and encouraging their child while they are playing in a golf match.
The opportunity it provides for children to learn golf from an early age and play as part of a team!
The teaching style and Play format are conducive to building confident, honest players
Opportunity for children to compete in golf and apply whatever they learned in class. I also like the values of golf. Nd the way they are implemented into the game.
Team environment
