The facility is always clean and I enjoy the range of equipment. My kids love the homeschool P.E. program and child watch. I thoroughly enjoy several of the workout class options.
Nice variety of classes, clean facility and good instructors.
I use the swimming pool for lap swimming 3X/week. It's great! However, since I'm still working, I'm only able to go in the late afternoons. Oftentimes, a children's swim club is using several lanes during the 5pm-6pm hour, which means that adult swimmers have to double (triple) up on the remaining lanes available. Would it be possible to move the children's swim club to switch to a later swimming time?

It’s a fun place to be. To workout among friends. The staff is great.
The only exercise I can do is walk in the pool. It is wonderful that I can come in anytime during the day and walk.

I like the variety of group classes offered, from bodypump, bodybalance, Yoga, Dance etc.
Wish there were more options on weekends though including late mornings and afternoons.

I really appreciate the upgraded equipment in the weight lifting and cardio rooms, and the just arrived new spin cycles! The Y seems more friendly and vibrant, and it does me good to be there!

Do not appreciate the unannounced aquatic audits. I drive from Conroe and disappointing to drive that far to find pool is closed. Frustrating.

I love coming to the Y. I do , however, have one issue I can’t really get an answer to. Why is the TV in the room with the stationary recumbent bikes always on the Fox News cable network?
I think Fox supports everything that is counter to what the YMCA stands for. Fox encourages/supports those who espouse hate, derision, division, etc..
I am open to discussing this with anyone within the Houston YMCA hierarchy.

The Shadowbend Y is probably the best workout facility as well as fittness educational facility as well as family oriented activities facility I've ever belonged to. I use the pool and the treadmill and the exerbikes and treadmill and weights mostly. While my family is grown now, if I were a parent today, I'd use it for my kids again for them as well.
