The Y has a lot to offer all ages! This summer I have seen lots of kids of various ages participating in what I assume are different programs. As a senior, their "Forever Well" programs are great. The exercises are not too strenuous for older joints and are tailored to us. You can do as little or as much of the exercises as you want... no shame in stopping! The Forever Well Yoga (chair Yoga) is great. The instructors are so kind and tuned in to us seniors. During the Pandemic Days, we enjoyed the on-line Bingo and exercises. We have used 2 of the trainers there, and they are very nice and very encouraging! I would recommend the Ft. Bend YMCA!
Actually I have already gotten 3 of my friends to sign up. One more might be joining! I love Lap swim and all of Kristen Baker's classes. I've been a fan of her for at least 20 years!

During Covid I turned to the YMCA "Zoom-lectures-presentations-book club, virtual tours" etc.-----This GREATLY helped me cope with "staying at home" and high anxiety. These "virtual" activities are coordinated by Elena Dinken. I am CONTINUTING to enjoy these virtual "classes" (took one yesterday, re: Mfah's presentation of Judaica Art). I LOVE all the partnering with Mfah---as it is the BEST way I can keep up with "the arts" while staying at home. I am still not "going out" in public very much. Although my husband & I LOVE the Ft. Bend YMCA swimming pool. We have been swimming EVERY MORNING since last May. It has greatly helped lower our blood pressure and lose weight. Also the Ymca STAFF is fabulous. We look forward to their friendly faces every morning (especially John York). Also great life guards (Darius and Joe) at Ft. Bend facility. The YMCA program & activities have enhanced my life!!

I love the fact that YMCA provides child care while I work out. My children love the YMCA. I love that they have pools. I just wish the TW YMCA would open, since it is closer to my home!

Nice variety throughout the week! Love the yoga , mat Pilates and low impact cardio classes. Kristin, Misty and Veronica are all really great. They make the workouts worthwhile as exercise but also their personalities are spot on and they are very inclusive of everyone in the classes. I just retired and so glad I decided to rejoin the Fort Bend Y!

People are helpful during classes, you are greeted when you enter the y, the instructors are concern about you being able to workout, like being there around good people, good place to be feel safe
