The instructor in my Body Pump (Rachael & Lisa) & Cycle (Michelle, Stephen & Thomas) classes are all excellent - great instruction, energy & make the class fun at the same time!
The gym facilities are nice, and I especially like the women's workout room. I also enjoy the pools, jacuzzi, and saunas.
programs are scheduled at convenient times ...mostly...so that people can attend various events or activities within a spe ific range of time.
As a senior I like the varied classes that are offered for us as well as the flexibility to participate in other classes. Leigha Garcia at tellepsen does a great job organizing events inside and outside of the Y and is a very effective communicator.
I mostly use the weight machines. Thank you for keeping them operational and especially not replacing the older ones near the window.
The TRX classes, usually 5:30pm Tuesday and 12:15 Friday, plus the recumbent bicycles and other equipment on the 4th floor. Sometimes the track on the 5th floor. Also the mats for stretching.
Tons of options for all ages at affordable prices.
I really enjoy being a member of the YMCA with a lot of personal things going on in my life it has been hard to get in there the way I need to. But I am working with the lord to make this process work successfully for me this year.

I think that they are awesome! I am participating in the Livestrong program. It is so good to have this type of support and encouragement as I gradually re introduce regular exercise into my lifestyle.
They are very professional and hands on. I love the YMCA!

Love all the programs you have available especially for the seniors! Love that you have spin cycles available outside of the dedicated spin room. Love all the new machines you always try out on the 4th floor. Love the well lit, large and clean spaces!

The facilities are pleasant, the staff greets me and solves any minor issues, parking is available, the equipment always works, and the steam room and sauna are a great way to end a workout.
The Tellepsen YMCA is clean, well lit (get that bulb changed in garage stairwell!), and well organized. Large towels available in shower facilities would be amazing, but I’m sure there are reasons for their absence. There are typical infractions of cell phone use / conversations on 4th floor regularly, people parking their trucks in hybrid / electric parking spots, and fairly constant problems with entrance / exit machinery (even despite January newbies struggling to figure it out). Michelle G, Stella, Judy, amazing amazing class leaders. Chip an excellent personal trainer. Reasonable priced membership for a facility with parking downtown. We used to receive a much lower corporate membership / group rate, but current Y economics may not allow for more significant discount(?). Thanks for all you do, always highly recommend the Y!
The staff competence and friendliness, appropriate and well-maintained equipment, convenient hours and space appropriate to number of members. However, frequent problems with parking garage ticket machines and with garage elevators are troubling and it's not clear why solutions to these have not yet been implemented.

Thr downtown Y has a terrific fitness center with the latest machines and a great assembly of dead weights. I really enoy these plus the indoor track.
I deeply appreciate my fitness advisor, Ed Groughe, who guides me through 2 complete hourly workouts every week. I highly recommend Ed and his instruction at the downtown YMCA.
Last but not least, evryone on the Y staff is friendly and willing to help any way they can.
