Member Testimonials
Very clean and loaded with great gym equipment, pools, and classrooms. Staff helpful and ready to assist. Clientele mostly cordial. Best place to workout in Houston!
Love the facility; so far I use the weight room, indoor track and indoor pool. Parking is easy. Super friendly staff!
The classes and my trainer, Michelle G.
Catered to each individual
Great facility, great location, great staff.
Lots of variety!
Yoga classes and exercise equipment
Fun and there is a variety
Love the women’s center.
I don't participate in the programs because they don't apply to me. The gym is clean and friendly.
I like the various group exercise class options. I also like that you offer swimming classes for children.
I love the family friendly environment
I like the positive energy of the Y. I’m 80 years old and I’ve been a member since I was 6
Every option available.
Really Great Facilities !
Getting An InfraRed would be Great Healthy Addition !
Weights
The facility has everything. There is every imaginable activity. It's a great place to get in shape.
However, I have one complaint. I joined at the end of January, and during this time, the men's sauna has never worked properly. It is about 120 degrees and should be at 170. I've mentioned it to the life guard every week, but nothing is happening. It's like having the pool half full... Somewhat useful but not great.
I enjoy your group exercise classes, especially the aquatics program. I also enjoy swimming in the pool.
I like body attack and body pump mostly but they are great classes with a nice community aspect
Everyone on the staff is so friendly, polite, welcoming, generous & kind over at the Y. They are always offering interesting & healthy programs & I appreciate the opportunity they represent to improve my health & well being.
I love that there is a private Women’s workout area. I use the open area to put down a mat to do HIIT exercises. I also love the Yoga classes. I also enjoy the walking track in the general gym. The equipment (workout machines) are well maintained as compared to the YMCA on 34th in Oak Forest. They get the leftovers - none of their ellipticals or air runners/treadmills have a working tv. Plus there isn’t enough equipment for the amount of clients. Anyway, you have good classes, equipment, and locker rooms. The only issue is parking lot is usually full with a wait to get in at peak hours, but to be expected since located in the City.
Very pleased with the exercise programs and and your staff members who are very helpful
I love the classes offered and the friendly staff. The staff is always helpful and kind. Machines are kept up-to-date. The steam room and hot tub come in handy and needed at times!
gym and jogging track. great showers
I enjoy swimming as well as free weights in the weight room area. Also, I like the variety of the classes that are offered. Would like to join one day because they seems really intensive and fun!
I don’t participate in class but I go to the gym on the 4th floor and I LOVE IT. Clean, well equipped, a nice staff. Just everything about this place I love.
Classes
But Peking is a problem
What really appeals is the staff. At least the ones I have had contact with have been gracious and helpful. The facility is well kept. The 4th floor equipment is generally kept in good working order. Thanks for making one of the third floor handball courts available for ping pong.
Great variety of fitness classes offered at many times of the day and evening. Instructors are all very, very good. I enjoy coming to the Y.
I do wish that people who arrive at classes more than 10 minutes late should not be permitted to join the class. The reasons why are it is distracting to those who made it on time (sometimes latecomers will push their way in at the front of the room) and many of the rooms are already very full.

ALL of the Silver Sneakers programs!! Something for all mobility levels!!
