Current pool reservations system is a mess and seems like pool sits empty more often than not and reservations are impossible to get.
Allow members to come in at 2:50 pm (instead of 3:00 pm) so that they have time to change for the lap pool.
It is mostly the classes at lunchtime for those of us that work downtown. there are great workouts and instructors available (pre-covid) for a hard, quick workout. I loved John's bodystep. Several people from my company would take his class. Also Danica's Shabam, and Amber's bodypump! I never thought I would do a bodypump class, but Amber inspired me to do weightlifting for women!! Also I loved Thomas's cycle class. He is the only instructor that makes me enjoy spinning. I think you have great instructors at Tellepsen, and I hope you can bring more of them back as covid eases.
I also like the track upstairs as an alternative to classes when you want something different, or just to walk and cool down after a class. It is a safe track to be on, and it is out of the sun which is good!

You guys have done a great job thru the COVID-19 situation. I feel safe doing my workouts.
Nice variety of classes. Spacious workout room. Easy parking
I can schedule a YMCA activity in advance and program my day around that activity
Very clean, excellent variety of programs and excellent teachers. Yvonne is such an aset to the program. I take both swimming and exercise classes from her. You need to clone her or give her a raise.
The class options are always nice.
Everything can you please make parking free for up to 3 hours. I feel kinda upset that I pay a 50 membership and also have to pay parking everytime because my time there is just over 2 hours everytime :/
I love all of the less mills classes I am ready for you to add more class times!
Love the pool- add more deep water exercise classes and you will get more older y members back at Tellepsen -You must realize this! You literally saved my life during covid and will always be loyal to YMCA HOUSTON!
I love that you have a pool and a full gym.
I am a huge fan of aqua yoga with Yvonne and would really like to see more aqua yoga classes offered.
I mainly swim and go to yoga classes and some water exercise classes
The Y Downtown is amazing! State of the art equipment, clean and spacious. Very cost effective with no need to go anywhere else.
I like the facility itself.
There are many without extra charge and often spaces are available
Good instructors and friendly staff. We have felt safe during COVID.
The staff recognizes that everyone is not on the same level and they prepare to meet the needs of the entire class.
In Willard McGowan’s Forever Yoga class, the instructional agenda is introduced at the beginning and it used throughout the entire class.
The poses are introduced at the Begeining with a Diagram. Hence, everyone has the ability to mentally prepare for them during the warm up and stretching activities.
The aquatic center has been extremely clean since the COVID 19 experience. The staff monitors the activities and they make sure everyone adheres to the schedule.

Great Les Mills programs and instructors!
I have not utilized the Y's programs but I have been a member for over 3 years at the downtown Y and have enjoyed the 4th and 5th floors very much. The facility is so good. I'm over 70 years old and I had never worked out in a gym in my life before. The Y made that possible by creating the atmosphere and in the gym and filling it with reliable equipment. The monthly membership is affordable and I will always be so grateful.
I use the virtual room 3 almost every day to customize my exercise program
Everyone is very kind and helpful
I have been regularly going to the downtown YMCA for many years, even through COVID.
I use the weight machines and free weights. Very good equipment and staff.
The swimming pool and the group workouts
Location, cost, and the health options
I like that you are open.
I think you need to enforce the mask wearing more. Too many people are taking advantage of the lax rules.
Also - people generally are flaunting the rules - I see lots of bare midriffs. Lots of people talking on phones.
You have staff that have not been innocculated who risk getting sick every day because of your lax attitude to mask wearing.
I like having access to an indoor pool for lap swimming
