I love the staff, the cleanliness, the pool, whirlpool and saunas, I just love this YMCA.
wide range of fitness opportunities for diverse groups
great place
It is awesome that there is an indoor track. That helps on hot, scorching days and nights, plus it is safe. Julia, the Zumba instructor is a dear. I am also a fan of the yoga and Bodyflow classes.
Great staff at the front desk and pool areas. Really all over the building. Love the access so close to home, free parking garage. Great pool hours.
Indoor track
Kid friend environmental & clean gym
The most important thing for us as a parents is that the kids are safe and having fun.
Thank you
I like the facilities a lot but I wish parking in the garage was 3 hours instead of the 2
Love the pool!
I primarily attend the "Y" to use the lap pool. Since the COVID reservation program has ceased it is really an excellent experience. The lap pool is always generally available, and other swimmers are more than happy to let you join their lane. I think swimmer regulated participation is better than the reservation method.
I think it would be great if the Y would allow you to "up" your membership to include not only the "adult" membership, but also round-up or add an additional $25 a month to be a "Impact Member." I appreciate that not everyone may want to round-up, but I think some members appreciate the benefit of the Y in their own lives by being able to access the facility, but also appreciate the Y's larger mission and benefit to the community.
Body pump class with Michelle and the ability to run on a track indoors! My boys enjoy childwatch while I workout
I like the Women's Center. At this time, I do not participate in any group classes or any programs.
I really enjoy the Women’s Center as it allows me to workout in a friendly and judge-free zone.
The group exercise classes are fantastic. The cycling program is top notch. I am very pleased with the course scheduling, as well as the cleanliness of the facility.
I would like to see more senior classes or water aerobics. But other than that I'm very pleased with the YMCA and the staff. The staff is very helpful and courteous.☺
The programs are helpful to the community.
Great group exercise classes and instructors. The facilities are very clean.
When I go, I feel comfortable to exercise and don't feel judged.
The greatest and responsive to suggestions. DeAnna does listen.
Classes good equipment
Great place and excellent people work here.
I would love to have the women's workout room open longer than just until 1:00 p.m. please.
The programs and activities for seniors have dwindle down to just about nothing.
Facilities, cleanliness, staff.
Work out programs are designed for people of all ages. Kid's activities allows our children to grow and have fun. In a healthy and safe environment. Thank You to the staff at the YMCA Houston.!!!
I love the yoga classes! At Tellepsen, the yoga teachers are REAL yoga teachers! I love Gloria and Brittany the best!!! I cannot thank the Y enough for having yoga at 9am! This is the perfect time for me! I love the POWER YOGA!!! It's so challenging and the best class ever!!! The Zumba with Julia is so fun! And Tomoko teaches a badass Body Flow! Both ladies are totally inspiring! Thank you, YMCA for keeping me fit!

I love the classes at the downtown Tellepsen YMCA, but do wish there were so a little bit later in the evening. I don't get off work until 5:30 and it seems like most of the classes start around 5:15/5:30. Even the 6:00 classes are hard for me to make. I would love to see classes starting at 6:15/6:30.
I would also love to see Barre come back to the downtown location at a time other than Saturday at 7am. I fondly remember the Tuesday evening barre class and how well attended and loved it was by the women that came every week religiously!

There is a lot to like about the Y. But one thing I don't like is how you've changed the pricing on personal training. I used to buy 12 sessions at a time and use them up at a rate of twice a week because I knew I could skip a week with no penalty if I were traveling. Now that you have switched to a monthly fee, with no opportunity to roll unused sessions over to the next month, I can only commit to 4 sessions a month. I am not willing to pay for something I might not get. This is a loss of revenue for you and a loss of loyalty for me. I previous years, I spent approximately $5,824 on personal training. Now I'm spending approximately $3,228. Someone should do the math. This is not good for your clients and it's not good for you!
