So far I haven’t been able to use all the facilities but they are great and huge. There’s so many things you can do.
I have not tried any yet. I primarily just lap swim.
Track
It is safe, nice ac and friendly. It is my happy place.
Love the pool! Taking lessons with Roylan and Yvonne - they’re the best!
I joined the YMCA back in 1978 which was a life changer, it offered programs from fitness to weightlifting and much more. I met others with the same interest and have had a bond that is unbreakable. Today I still think of the Downtown YMCA as home and because I live about twenty-five miles away and can only get there on Saturdays I look forward to that each and every weekend. Before the pandemic, I visited the Alief Y daily because it's only a mile from my job and it opened around 4:30 am which was great. Over the years I've shared my story with countless people who I talked about the YMCA and how it changed my life
Tellepsen Family YMCA offers a superb facility with first rate equipment. The building is superbly maintained, and the staff is helpful, friendly and courteous. I am also aware of a variety of popular fitness and wellness offerings at Tellepsen. Finally, I always find parking in the building's parking area.
I like the building design and equipment especially the pool!
Group exercise classes.
I go often and I like the women center for privacy...and I don't appreciate the new schedule hours....Thank you very much
There is a lot to like about the Y. But one thing I don't like is how you've changed the pricing on personal training. I used to buy 12 sessions at a time and use them up at a rate of twice a week because I knew I could skip a week with no penalty if I were traveling. Now that you have switched to a monthly fee, with no opportunity to roll unused sessions over to the next month, I can only commit to 4 sessions a month. I am not willing to pay for something I might not get. This is a loss of revenue for you and a loss of loyalty for me. I previous years, I spent approximately $5,824 on personal training. Now I'm spending approximately $3,228. Someone should do the math. This is not good for your clients and it's not good for you!
I love the staff, the cleanliness, the pool, whirlpool and saunas, I just love this YMCA.
wide range of fitness opportunities for diverse groups
great place
It is awesome that there is an indoor track. That helps on hot, scorching days and nights, plus it is safe. Julia, the Zumba instructor is a dear. I am also a fan of the yoga and Bodyflow classes.
Great staff at the front desk and pool areas. Really all over the building. Love the access so close to home, free parking garage. Great pool hours.
Indoor track
Kid friend environmental & clean gym
The most important thing for us as a parents is that the kids are safe and having fun.
Thank you
I like the facilities a lot but I wish parking in the garage was 3 hours instead of the 2
Love the pool!
I primarily attend the "Y" to use the lap pool. Since the COVID reservation program has ceased it is really an excellent experience. The lap pool is always generally available, and other swimmers are more than happy to let you join their lane. I think swimmer regulated participation is better than the reservation method.
I think it would be great if the Y would allow you to "up" your membership to include not only the "adult" membership, but also round-up or add an additional $25 a month to be a "Impact Member." I appreciate that not everyone may want to round-up, but I think some members appreciate the benefit of the Y in their own lives by being able to access the facility, but also appreciate the Y's larger mission and benefit to the community.
Body pump class with Michelle and the ability to run on a track indoors! My boys enjoy childwatch while I workout
I like the Women's Center. At this time, I do not participate in any group classes or any programs.
I really enjoy the Women’s Center as it allows me to workout in a friendly and judge-free zone.
The group exercise classes are fantastic. The cycling program is top notch. I am very pleased with the course scheduling, as well as the cleanliness of the facility.

The classes, the excellent teachers, the Women’s Room, all the good friends I’ve made there, and the mission of the Y to reach out and help others.
