The Benbrook facility is good for our family. I work out with Jim Lowery as my trainer, and my wife takes a pool aerobic class.
It’s local and they have programs that are of interest to me.
Quality of Nautilus machines and barbells for a multiplicity of choices of workout preferences !
Members need to leave their Cell Phones in their CARS ! They park their rear ends on a machine , send and read text messages thereby completely keeping the machine tied up for no reason ! This is frustrating for someone who wants to use a particular machine and it's not available !
Desk staff is knowledgeable and very helpful ! Workout area's are always clean , Thankyou !

I like the fact that our YMCA in Benbrook caters to seniors especial in the morning during the week. They offer a ton of classes to attend and weights to lift. The staff is kind and friendly and can answer most all questions.

I'm not into programs and activities. I just go for the weight room and walking track.

Pool is great. The equipment seems to be maintained as well as the housekeeping staff efforts. The only problem is the workout area need to be expanded.
This is an easy solution as you have acres out the window to the west. Just pour a slab, get a metal building. You probably could get a full or partial donation from the metal building companies just by using the Y in the advertisements.

I attend for Silver Sneakers. I do not like nor approve of the very timed sign up requirments for Haley‘s Monday and Tuesday classes. A larger venue would be preferrable. The Friday instructor is nice but I stromgly dislike her regimen. A Saturday class would be appreciated.
There’s something for everyone. The Y is for all ages & abilities. This facility has an indoor pool, walking track, & gym (for basketball, volleyball, & pickle ball). There are a variety of classes available as well as the weights & cardio machines. I still miss the ARC trainer. Something for everyone. The scholarships are a godsend for the recipients, & I’m glad to be a donor. The staff are helpful & there’s always someone available to assist or answer questions. I just wish there was a similar Y closer to where I live.
I love the family environment and the childcare as well. I appreciate the Cleanliness of the facility and the organization of activities throughout. The staff are always nice , respectful , and Courteous.
I like the vast choice of programs and the welcoming atmosphere of the Benbrook facility.

There are good programs for the entire family.
I did Zumba on Sundays and my granddaughter goes to "Middle School Madness".

I really enjoy the group classes. Haylee Carr is excellent ( I take 2-3 of her classes per week)and Jeannine’s chair yoga is one of my favorites.
The indoor track is a good resource for walking….its safe and helps me avoid exposure to outdoor allergies.

I like how welcoming and friendly the members and staff are. It's very popular and has become so popular that the gym needs expanded parking and expanded facilities.

There are lots of exercise classes and activities (i.e.AOA) for older adults. The indoor track is available for walking in any kind of weather.
The Silver Sneakers classes for senior adults are fabulous & keep me motivated to stay active & meeting people from my community.
As an older senior, I really enjoy the Mon. Wed. Water Aerobics and the Fri. Silver Sneakers Circuit. All of the Staff are nice and friendly.
