The Northumberland YMCA is such a friendly place. The people make you feel like family the moment you walk in. The facility is clean and modern, the trainers are top notch, and the employees are friendly and welcoming.

The staff are amazing.
It not to big. But they need more stair climbers and different machines like for your legs ,back , stomach . No just of of those machines at least 2 of each

Friendly and informative instructors. My daughter learned so much in her swim lessons and can apply her new skills successfully. I now feel more comfortable that she feels confident while she is swimming now. We plan to enroll her in the next level of swim lessons to build on her skills and make her a stronger swimmer.

Love the historic building the Y at Ft Monroe is in, very nice facility! Silver Sneakers is my go to class and would love 3 days a week. Nice staff, clean.
Lillian and Rachel were excellent instructors! All three of our children progressed rapidly through the session. Their skills have dramatically improved in a short time and, as parents, we’re far more confident in their ability to save themselves in the water should they need to.

The staff, employed staff and volunteers, at the Fort Monroe YMCA are very friendly and helpful. They will do what they can to answer inquiries, provide information and offer fitness advice and instruction. Simply put, they created a very welcoming environment.
