Very friendly staff. Once the needed service was completed, or so I thought. When I first picked up my wheel, I didn’t notice until I got home that the requested service had NOT been complete, but I had been charged for the service. When I returned the same day and advised that the service had not been completed and also showed the staff the broken part that was to be replaced, still attached. The staff member then took my receipt and did some checking and advised that the service in fact had not been taken care of. He apologized and I was offered the opportunity to wait while the service was completed, but I advised that I would return the following day as I had other errands to attend to. Later that day I received an e-mail, a text and a phone call that my serviced item was ready to pick up. I advised that I would be in the next day. When I arrived the next day, I picked up my serviced item, thanked the staff member and left. I truly understand that mistakes happen and I don’t have an issue with that. My issue was that when I originally went into the shop pick my item wheel, I asked about purchasing two new tires for my bike. I was advised that the store, at this time, could not sell me the requested tires, but if I brought the front and rear wheels into the shop, then the tires could be sold to me, if the staff mounted them. I agreed that I would return with the still broken rear wheel and the front wheel for the new tires. I didn’t inquire at the time, but I assumed that there would be a mounting charge in addition to the charge for the new tires. When I returned, for the 2nd time to pick up my serviced part, I was waiting to be told that due to the inconvenience of having to make 3 round trips to the shop, some kind of deal, percent off, something to make up for the mistake would be offered in regards to the two new tires that I had intended to purchase. It was not. At this I decided not to proceed with the new tire purchase. Again, mistakes happen and I understand, but a little consideration would have gone along way in that I decided to purchase the needed new tires from elsewhere other than at McGhies. Again, the friendly staff was the highlight of this situation. The repair, although minimal was done correctly the 2nd time around. A little customer service/consideration regarding this whole situation would have gone a long way in regards to my future cycling needs.

The service team was working with a line of customers under quarantine conditions but they maintained professional, polite and efficient procedures. They fixed my item and let us all know the new procedure and our options. Tough conditions but they did a great job!

Great service with quick turn around times. Technicians are very knowledgeable and do not recommend higher priced products just because. It would be ideal if Mcghies had additional smaller mechanic shops around town. No need for the big box retail store, just smaller tune up shops in the suburban areas.
