We are excited about the pickleball class!
I’ve only been taking the morning Silver Sneakers class, so far. The others have been filling up too fast. I am very happy with that class and hope to get to venture into the gym soon.
Ease of signing up and picking silver sneakers classes
Employees at the front desk are always welcoming when you come in. I like to use the treadmill when I can't get outside to take my walk. I enjoy going to the book club meetings and other social events, we went to the turkey potluck in November and had a good time. Also we enjoy using the out door pool in the summer. We use to have a pool at our house but took it down several years ago, so we like not having to do the expense and maintenance of a pool.
I love the Y, but think we should at least have clean locker rooms at the central parkway location. Given the lack of hours and constant membership increases, it is not enough to rely on the after hours cleaning crew and need to make your staff address this during the day. The shower sauna area is a nightmare every day and is one of the differentiating amenities the y has that others do not. People sign up just for the sauna/steam room, so why let it turn into the nastiest part of the entire building. Other than that I love you guys and the other members, it’s jus getting gross in the men’s locker room and know you can be doing more to address it.

Instructors and Life guards are very friendly and knowledgeable. We feel very safe and respected while we are at the Facility.
Fitness level
We like the availability of weight room equipment and swimming pool facilities. We like the group get togethers like the Thanksgiving meal. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The people are generally friendly. The staff is very helpful.
I normally do not go to the Blue Ash YMCA because as a swimmer, I have noticed it’s hard to reserve a lane
However, I swim between the 3:40 and 4:30 PM, while I was on the waitlist. Ironically, there were empty left lanes for swimming. I wish other people that sign up and decide to cancel with then cancel their reservations. I’ve been driving out to the Clermont County YMCA because swimmers are more conscientious about making a reservation and keeping it. I don’t know how the YMCA management could possibly correct this. I’m just wishing that other swimmers were as courteous to those who want to swim but stay back because they think there won’t be an empty lane.
The pool is very clean. The lifeguards are very conscientious and you have a clean and user-friendly locker room.
I've only taken the water aerobics class. Very nice.
I did work out a bit in the cardio universal room.
Years ago I was a member (approx 12 years ago) and there was a staff person to help assist with instruction/technique etc with equipment.

Work at your pace on what you need and want
The instructor for Fit for Life, Jan A, makes the class so much fun. I have been coming to her class for going on two years. I have never stayed with an exercise program for more than 6 months before.
I love the group classes. I am not good at working out alone. The instructors are great.
