Member Testimonials
Friendly and helpful staff, clean, bright facilities with welcoming atmosphere. Lots of equipment to use. I also support the community-minded philosophy of the Y.
The classes are my favorite. swim and exercise is great for my back
Family pool is the only reason we are members. We can and do use it year round. Need to tell people not use family dressing rooms unless they are with children. In regularly see single adults in there.
Great facility
Facilities are clean & available. Kids love swimming & rock climbing. Variety of classes that appeal to all ages.
Reliable, no surprises.
Very clean and well maintained.
Julie gleeson is a great teacher. She makes me work but is friendly about it and explains the proper format. She pushes me to my limit.
I had been a member of the Y a couple years ago and recently rejoined to some really exciting new surprises at the club. I was thrilled to see the variety of classes offered including Barre, HIIT and a TRX system to explore. My kids love the open gym and the pool and I love what Wild Kombucha is offered at the shake bar. We are happy to be back!
Facility and the convenience
Beautiful facilities. Fun for the whole family. The Y has been life-changing for my health and wellness routine.
Warm, friendly environment. Helpful staff. New equipment. All ages welcome
I just love being there, clean pleasant environment, new machines, welcomed by personnel , everybody is really nice, plus I like getting discounts on my rates as senior citizen through United Healthcare ..
The place felt like home...very welcoming and friendly from the outset. I like the day-time classes the most.
Although some of the instructors can be a bit rude and inattentive to first time visitors, they all give a great class. It can be bit challenging for those new to the class and the instructor don't ask are there any new visitor's or give them a run down of how the class work or inform them on what equipment will be used during the session. Other than that the Orokawa YMCA is the best. They offer a wide range of classes that can help with your fitness goals. To top it off that front line staff are very welcoming.
Excellent!!! We love the YMCA.
I like my trainer Ellie at Towson! She is super motivating and energetic! Although we always lack the size weights that are required for strength training for women.
I enjoyed my training sessions at the Y. The trainer was excellent and professional. He was also very helpful and supportive. I've asked two friends to try these sessions.
The Y is wonderful! It's affordable and a great family friendly gym. My kids love the pool and the kids' classes. The equipment and facilities are very modern.
Friendly staff. Well maintained.
Incredibly great place !!!!!!
Great classes, friendly people, inclusive setting.
The Y is a good place for senior citizens not only for fitness benefits but also the social atmosphere. Many days I see seniors gathered in the cafe area sharing coffee and conversation and I hear conversations going on while getting ready for a pool exercise class in the locker room. I also enjoy having lap lanes in the main pool open at times when most of the swimmers are seniors - usually early morning week days before fitness classes begin. It is so important to share a lane with swimmers who are fairly evenly matched in ability.
Good location, easy parking, convenient floor plan, and friendly staff.
The Y does a good job of providing something for everyone and making sure that everyone has an equal chance to use the facilities. The staff is compent and the staff supervisiors are friendly and approachable.
I like the family atmosphere and the varied ages and abilities, levels of fitness there.
The classes they have added are a good mix of beginner and advance classes.
The facility is lovely and clean. The staff are always pleasant. There is a great variety of group exercise classes.
Friendly instructors, great group class options/times, personable employees :)
