Desk folks are friendly and helpful
Love the teacher! All of the games and love and attention ♥️ loved the other kiddos and parents. Love that the pool is warm 😊
Everything !
My stepson loved his class and his swimming really improved. His instructor, Chris, was very thorough and clear with his explanations, very encouraging, and made the class fun.
I also took group lessons with Masie, Matt and Drew and all three were great.
I started a class with Lynn and Sarah but found Lynn's attitude very offputting, even before the first lesson started. Sarah was great and I'll be looking to take more classes with her in the future.
Childcare people are wonderful.
the swimming pool, for lap swims.
There’s a lot of different things to do at the Y for the price. Love the BBall court and strength training equipment.
The only thing that would improve this for me is if there was an outdoor pull up bar. Wouldn’t cost much to put on in - just some steep pipe.
For the $ - the Y is a terrific work out center.
I like that it’s not intimidating and how it’s spread out in a way to where there is still private areas in case you’re a little shy
My favorite programs at the Y are the aquatics, spin cycle and yoga classes. I appreciate the online availability of classes that can be done when you can't make it to the gym. YMCA East seems to have group exercise classes that accommodate a person working in downtown Austin more than the Townlake location, which seems odd. The locker room at the East campus and Hayes campus offer more options for privacy, which is desirable. Overall, I am enjoying and benefitting from my membership at the Y. Kudos to all teachers and staff who make that possible.
Welcoming atmosphere for all ages and abilities.
down to earth and on the trail
everything is perfect
Our family uses the Y for youth sports and fitness classes (spin). Both are are affordable, convenient and inclusive. And the youth sports refs are very kind to the children.
Good variety in equipment, activities, good group leaders, friendly atmosphere.
Lots of locations and good pricing.
Chris was a great teacher! I was impressed by his ability to wrangle 3-5 year-old boys, keep them on task but still have fun.
I like the variety in times and classes, and the welcoming environment.
The Austin YMCA is a friendly, inclusive and clean facility.
Staff are always friendly and helpful.
Facility is nice, clean and extensive.
Programs are great
My favorite class is outdoor spinning with Becky Wells. We have a friendly and very supportive group of regular participants. The class provides a great cardio workout with inspiring music.
I definitely enjoy working out at Town Lake YMCA. Most of my family is in Los Angeles. However, I will recommend my friends as well. I do not wish ,to publicly give a review on google etc.
I Love The YMCA. Thank you Jude, & thank you Ashley, the staff is wonderful.

I grew up in Austin and can testify to what a gem the Townlake YMCA is. We are SO LUCKY to have this facility in the heart of the city (with recently upgraded equipment) and many gifted instructors. I honestly don't know what I'd do without the group classes which have sustained my mind, body, and spirit for years. Thank you for all you do for us!

Love all of the Body Pump instructors- the energy they bring and fun but difficult workout is wonderful !
