I only had classes. I started by joining Senior Fit class and Les Mills Body Pump on Tuesday and Thursday at 10:15 am, as I need to build muscles and strengthen my bone density. I love the classes Les Mills Body Pump and Core thought by Karin. She is a great instructor and a kind person. When she was away, the substitute instructors are also very good.
I had to stop the Senior Fit class as 3 days in a row was a bit too much.
Would love to try other classes for improving my balance like Taichi, unfortunately, it is only offered on the same schedule as my Les mills Body Pump class.
Would be wonderful to have more Taichi classes at different days, like Monday or Wednesday.

I like the gym equipment it has a little bit of everything. I also like it that it’s very like family friendly just a different vibe. I see elderly people very active and it motivates me more. I’m there to release stress and be in good health. I keep telling my friends to join.

Everything
The variety of weight machines and cardio machine options. They even have the stretch/pilates machines (which I do not know how to use). I love the 2 saunas and use them every time (if there is room). Only things that could be better would be newer machines where I could use an app to track my workouts.
I like the friendly helpful staff. I like the warm pool for me to do my exercises in.
The pool is fabulous. Pickleball was great, especially in the heat.

Reflect the community of wider Austin (not a single race, age, income demographic; not homogeneous like some hipster gyms). Love that we can propose ideas for classes and they are taken up ( I’ve been eyeing the martial arts classes… would advanced salsa or two step partner dancing class be possible too? Maybe someday?) would love to see a “community room” added in the new plan that could be rented for meetings, like a study room in the library….
Staff is friendly and the gym is clean. There are so many programs and things to do. Just wish we had more time to be at the Y!
The machines and free weights
We love being back at the Y, now as a family. We’re making great use of the kids club and now swim lessons.

Latter is clean and the personal are good. However a plumber has been needed for a long time to fix shower many valves at sw Y

The Y has high-quality yoga classes with excellent instructors. The fitness equipment is plentiful and well-maintained. The facilities are clean and well-managed.
