I like the variety and the quality of the teachers. Most of them are top notch. However, I would like to see the schedule be updated on a timely basis so that we are aware of times that there might be a substitute for a class. Sometimes you make an effort to go to a particular class, and it can be disappointing if the expected teacher is not there. It happened today at the Town Lake Y for the 8:15 yoga-lates class. Turns out the Y was aware of the substitution last Friday, yet no change was made to the schedule.
Maintenance of facility and equipment. Variety of equipment and exercise options, swimming, basketball, machines, weights, etc.
friendly staff
Welcoming to people of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
I love the classes offered. Thus far I'm going to the Yoga and Pilates classes and love them. But, what I really like is that there are other classes for me to try.
I like the cleanliness of the facility. I like the people. I like all the different people who come and the feeling of community.
I love having a membership at the YMCA, Town Lake location.
Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, and great variety of classes
Water aerobics and variety of classes.
Staff is very helpful and always cheerfully motivating. I appreciate inclusion of special needs staff and members.
I LOVE body pump! However, I highly recommend that more of these classes are scheduled in the mornings at 6am on weekdays. The Monday morning bodypump classes are always full; these are much more popular than the stong or cycling classes.
PLEASE add more of the 6am classes in 2019!
I don’t participate in the programs or activities so much, but I do appareciate that y’all have them. It increases the diversity of the folks using the The Y.
I like the friendly instructors and staff.
Personal training is awesome!
Very family oriented. All age, all sizes and shapes :-)
I love the vibrant and diverse community y’all have cultivated, which is evident from the moment we walk in. Respectful and efficient and courteous counter staff greet us, enthusiastic high fives of encouragement to motivate us, and an atmosphere of unambiguously celebrated inclusivity pervades the whole space. KUDOS!
I have taken tai chi classes led by Yayoi for almost 2 years. She is wonderful - very skilled, kind, patient and a clever and delightful oerson. The class has significantly increased my balance and agility; my experience is shared by several tai chi friends I have made.
Many members of our Tuesday class also attended her class on Friday. That class is changed to early morning on Wednesday.
I believe the rescheduling is unfortunate. In part because the early hour is not desirable for the retired persons (who make up much of the class), but primarily because putting her 2 classes on adjacent days virtually eliminates likelihood of twice-weekly attendance by participants in either class. I hope you will revisit this
undesirable decision.
There is something for everybody at the Town Lake Y! I love that when I go there I see all ages, body types, and fitness levels. I never feel out of place at this Y. The front desk staff are so welcoming, the “living room” area is inviting, the equipment is top-notch and the group programs are fantastic!

Your locations, indoor pools, and daycare are all great!
I feel welcome and safe. The facilities are clean. There are many ages and diversity of clients.
Inclusive
Group activities are geared toward all physical levels. Instructors are very good. Everyone very friendly and helpful.
So much. For my 3 year old daughter, your swim instructors really stand out. My daughter loves Natalie and going to her class so much ... and she doesn't really like water so that is really something.
For my wife, the built-in day care makes going to the Y possible at all. And again, my daughter enjoys the staff.
For myself, masters swimming and the clean spacious weight machines and plenty of elliptical machines.
Affordable, varied offerings, welcoming
I love that that they truly do have a variety of programs for the entire "family". I am also very thankful that they provide child care with good reasonable hours and parents are now able to work on their health.
Really enjoy my time here and Tony is great!
I like all the classes geared at older adults. I love Lisa's Chi-gong class and wish she taught it twice a week. (I do miss the stabilty balls though). I also love the aqua range of movement classes, especially Sandy's monday class. I like the general vibe at the Y.
Variety, excellent, child watch, low cost for kid sports, SAM from T-ball!
I love the senior fitness class!!!

Our kids enjoy the swim classes and have progressed beyond our expectations. And, us parents enjoy working out weekly from your weights to the machines upstairs.
